You know, I feel no compelling need to call out racists and hateful "civil servants" when I see them, and I could make it a full time job while still getting nowhere with it. Too damn many politicians are racist when it suits them, race haters when it works best and race baiters as a general daily approach in life.
Recently, Wisconsin State Rep Mandela Barnes showed us all just what deep, ugly racism looks like in modern America when he took it upon himself to determine if the County Sheriff of Milwaukee was "Black enough" to consider being a black officer holder.
The Sheriff is conservative, as most law enforcement tend to be, which seems to be at the heart of determining whether he is black "enough" by this State Rep's standards?
Yeeeeah.... That has been starting to happen, and was really coming out in the 2012 election for that matter. More than one black candidate in that election made the near terminal error of being to the right of center on politics. A couple of them paid for that dearly, too.
By the way......This is a pic of the Sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
I might call it entertaining to see some activist politician question his racial identity to his face. I also had more than one liberal on TOS almost militantly DEMAND that % of black blood makes NO difference, in reference to noting our President had a very very White Kansas mother, to a Black African (or...African American..perhaps) Father. Legally, it is apparently sufficient to have blood of color, without % making a major factor, to determine what you classify yourself (Ask a certain Senator in Massachusetts about that, eh?).
I dare say tho..we don't need to get into all that % nonsense here..do we?? No.. Political mindset matters more, apparently.
Nothing wrong so far..right? That is a factual statement (to say the least).
....doesn't count? Indeed... He didn't stop there tho, as much as he should have. He had to shove his racist foot all the way down his throat.

That is an actual state rep to the state of Wisconsin. Not some goober or race baiter off the street with an ignorant opinion. He's a member of a U.S. State Government...and saying this about a duly elected law enforcement official of the same state.
Racism doesn't have to include direct discrimination at all..as we're reminded, forcefully, any time it goes the OTHER direction (and it doesn't work either way). Racism can well include the playing of political games to run down individuals, polarize communities or further divide this nation by the manipulation of emotions related TO race. It's a shame the good people of Wisconsin can't impeach or recall that man from office...and I don't mean the good Sheriff.

During a forum hosted by the Madison Capital Times on state politics and the effect Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential aspirations have had on it, Barnes held nothing back when the topic of Clarke came up. Saying what has practically become scripture among liberal America: That black conservatives are not ‘really black.’

During the discussion, [Journal Sentinel columnist Christian] Schneider noted that Walker had defeated an African-American opponent, state Sen.Lena Taylor, in heavily Democratic Milwaukee County.
Barnes then dismissed that idea, saying, “We only have one black countywide elected official in Milwaukee, and that’s David Clarke and he’s not any lefty by any means.”

“Right,” Schneider responded.
“So that one doesn’t count,” Barnes said.

“It doesn’t count that he beat an African-American because it doesn’t count, because it was a countywide election,” Barnes said. “We have one black countywide elected official and he’s . . . I don’t even accept him as black.”
