I'm laughing as I write this, because I've seen a lot of odd things in political elections since starting to pay attention to them years ago. Some odd stuff indeed. Missouri had a major race lost to a dead man, for instance, and the nation got Ashcroft for an A.G. as the result (he'd have been a mere state senator and unavailable, if he'd not lost that way... )
Now this? Hey, this is a great one!!
Now here, I was thinking this couldn't have been a meaningful race. Probably a county or low level race..right? Has to be....doesn't it?
Erm..

Just a simple trucker, too busy to even vote himself. Doom on folks who don't participate, because you throw the game to the people you hate most by not playing at all. They COUNT on it.
Good for this guy, to take a blind shot. Given the rather strong dissatisfaction with politicians in office? I'd give him better than 50% odds of winning too, without knowing a single thing more. The Dem "party" just effectively LOST Mississippi's Governor's mansion no matter how it turns out, I'd say.
The nationals may well be rigged. I've come to about that same conclusion myself after the last two with numbers that can't even match with simple math anymore....but the effort, coordination and cooperation ...without weak links... it would take to rig down into state elections and local below that? These morons can't even run a private Email server without being busted like a cheap punk. Don't give up on state systems, is what I say.
** Although the BIG population states probably ARE rigged from their OWN local levels, for the tiny % of normal people stepping up to be a direct part or observer to anything.

The Mississippi Democratic Party received a shock this week when its favored candidate lost in the primary to a truck driver who didn’t spend a single cent on his campaign and says that he was too busy to vote for himself.

46-year-old Robert Gray won the gubernatorial primary with more than 50 percent of the vote. He carried all but three of the state’s counties.
