No-Knock Warrants had a logical basis in the start. Like most bad ideas do. The thinking had a lot to do with the idea that while cops are pounding on the door to get a bad guy to open up, the bad guy or bad girlfriend is in the bathroom flushing all the proof of being bad, like a bad meal passing through.
I imagine everyone can see some of the logic there, and fair enough for the concern. The solution devised to address it has brought an evil all its own though, and one that kills people. Innocent people. Not just seeing dope or other evidence flushed down by the 'trouble' of knocking and giving notice to a search warrant.
I can't even begin to understand how this little kid survived it...
Apparently, they threw the grenade and made a hole in one!.....baby's crib. 
Nice friggen throwing to Babe Ruth there. The kid was properly subdued...I have NO doubt.

No Knock = No Brains ...and if cops have to go in like a combat team against American citizens by that choice of tactic...for Gods sake..stop and consider why, and how far its gone to ever have reached the day where friggen grenades are thrown into the play pens of toddler children. We'd call it unacceptable levels of human rights violations in OTHER nations by now, and I REALLY think we SHOULD HERE, too.

A former sheriff's deputy has been indicted on federal charges over her role in setting up a "no-knock" drug raid that severely injured a toddler when a flash grenade detonated in his playpen.
