This...isn't just 'The New Religion' of worship at the feet of the Greenie Masters. No... This is going beyond that, and crossing into what I won't even mince words with anymore.
I believe we are seeing profound, and deep mental illness among more than one of our leaders. It could be a progressive mental issue from chronic stress, anxiety and the need to maintain deceptions (AKA politics) in so many directions at once. It could be they really believe their own doom and gloom, and fell right into the abyss after their ideas.
I'm not sure what it is...but it is a scary time to be under leaders we may really be SEEING mental illness from.
Normally, I might crack a joke about seeing him lead the way...but no. This sick man really believes every single word he is saying. I have little doubt of it. He's done irreparable damage to the state who elected him, such that I doubt they recover in my lifetime anyway. Now, he'd spread his warped world view and..perhaps outright illness for doom porn..to a wider audience??
That..is where I find pity for the mentally ill. I'm dead serious on this too..I'm not being snarky to insult the man. I really feel we're seeing clinical illness showing itself. He can see we DO NOT KNOW the facts of the topic, and on that, he IS accurate. We don't know how far we've gone on all this, but the problem is, there isn't even confirmed proof "we" 'have' gone ONE direction OVER another.
Pollution? Oh..my god yes. To make our water toxic..our air disgusting and our food a weak copy of what it is supposed to be. Pollution to endanger our lives? I don't question...anymore than I question water being WET.
Climate change....hasn't even been a recorded phenomenon with consistent numbers for nearly TWO DECADES (15+ years without consistent warming tracked globally..and NASA has said that) There isn't a certain pattern of up or down, outside the overall trend we're in that predates our having anything more advanced than a campfire to pollute with.
Yet...we see this continue...

Well..hot damn. They have consensus. It's a shame science does not and can not work by "consensus" and majority rule has no place in hard science. It is...or it isn't, in an area of life where it becomes simplicity itself. Science hasn't apparently determined is or isn't yet....even if the whole rotten pack of politicians "settled their science" long ago.
Someone wake me when the hard science catches the almost 'wishful thinking' this sick men are living in.

Gov. Jerry Brown, issuing an ominous appeal on climate change, said Tuesday that the world may already have “gone over the edge” on global warming and that humanity must reverse course or face extinction.
Brown, speaking at a summit of mayors from around the world, has increased his already-high profile on climate change in recent months, working to coalesce support for carbon reduction policies ahead of global climate talks in Paris in December.

“We don’t even know how far we’ve gone, or if we’ve gone over the edge,” Brown said. “There are tipping points, feedback loops. This is not some linear set of problems that we can predict. We have to take measures against an uncertain future which may well be something no one ever wants. We are talking about extinction. We are talking about climate regimes that have not been seen for tens of millions of years. We’re not there yet, but we’re on our way.”

Brown and dozens of mayors signed a declaration stating that “human-induced climate change is a scientific reality, and its effective control is a moral imperative for humanity.” Brown has been prodding more states and sub-national governments to join California and several others in a non-binding pact to limit the increase in global temperature to below 2 degrees Celsius, a threshold beyond which many scientists predict major environmental disruption.
