I've been looking at this, and I wonder...was there much more to the timing of "coming out" than first thought? Was this far more about saving his butt, in at least the timing, than making some proud statement on 20/20 recently?
Lets look at the crash story first...and you'll likely see what jumped out at me here, too.
That is a bad crash video, and the impact energy continuing is a damning thing for Jenner, in my opinion. Has the little thingy called a BRAKE pedal ever seemed like a decent idea? It didn't seem to in that situation.
Oh, the least I'd say should happen. Go to the source on this and play that video. The woman driving the white car was killed, and you can't see any gore..so don't worry about that, but look at the force of the SECONDARY impact that white car sustained after being thrown like a toy by the Escalade Jenner was driving.
Umm.. WOW!

Okay, then why isn't there a very clear charge of vehicular manslaughter here? Distracted or drunk is bad enough...but this person KILLED someone by plowing straight into two vehicles with without distraction or other mitigating reasons?? That doesn't make it BETTER, IMO.
We mere mortals would be facing more than a literal traffic ticket, I'm thinking.

Now this isn't about another celebrity killing a person like life was free or something. Unfortunately, that happens enough in these modern times to redefine being 'above the law' as a very circumstantial or relative thing. No conspiracy there....just a breakdown of any respect for law and justice. Nothing new.
Do you see what is interesting here? If you hadn't gone to the source... let me explain.
Factoid #1. This accident happened in February of this year.
Factoid #2. Bruce turned into Caitlyn for the nation in April.
Factoid #3. The legal ramifications of killing someone in that accident began in May.
Could someone have been getting in front of another public relations train wreck about to arrive? The April revelations to the public do seem to well cover the news of taking someone's life in February, to be a part of open court proceedings in May.
Interesting how that worked, eh? Pure coincidence of timing...or more?

ET has exclusively obtained surveillance video that shows the fatal February four-car accident in Malibu, California, in which Caitlyn Jenner was a driver and one person was killed. The footage may help investigators determine who was at fault.

Jenner, who was uninjured in the crash, was named in a wrongful death suit filed May 1 by Howe's stepchildren, Dana Redmond and William Howe. In the suit, the stepchildren claim Jenner was "careless, negligent, and reckless." They are seeking unspecified damages.

Jenner has not been charged with any crime. She reportedly cooperated with authorities following the accident, passing a field sobriety test and volunteering to submit a blood sample for drug and alcohol testing. Her rep also denied to the Associated Press in February that she was texting while driving.
