Okay folks, I may have found a great game that Hernando's can play together. At least those who are interested in reality based first person shooter games.
What I found is a game called Project Reality. It was a conversion mod for Battlefield 2, but since BF-2 is no longer supported? The mod is a stand alone download in its own right, and 100% free. This dev team also created new net code and new connections to maintain online function for servers ..which can max at 100 players!

This also supports a robust co-op mode against AI bots for fun playing against computer generated enemy or just practice.
Did I mention this is FREE?
This Video is more informative and the first 1-2 minutes is valuable to listen to for how this works.
It's a very long vid, so just as good to jump around the rest and get a feel for the game mechanics and quality that way.

It is a 6.7gb download, and it goes quick on a torrent.
I'm interested in playing this with others, if people get this. I'll be happy to host a dedicated server for practice and play as well, so we don't have to worry about other server's rules or issues while figuring how this works, or refreshing rusty skills.
Oh..and its free.
In addition to the cost, it is very friendly to older systems with a 2 core suggested requirement, 512 Vid RAM and 128k net connection. Old school requirements for a game with modern depth to the game play.
Anyway, another way to pass the time this summer!
