I feel pretty much how he looks there, so contracting a man-cold or man-flu IS possible. Can we call it the Tomboy Cold?

I'm sorry Nyiah, that you feel so shitty I hate being sick it's the worse feeling in the world I try and sweat as much as I can then shower with really hot water with drops of eucalyptus oil it's kinda hard once you have it you pretty much have to deal with it I hope you feel better hopefully spyderz takin car of you!!!

Must be the large quantities of alcoholic beverages and cigars ...... never get sick here ......

When you are fighting illness, your body has to dispose of many toxins that are excreted through certain lymphic ducts and also through the nose.  There is a lymph node drain in one lung and one in the opposite bronchial tube.  These make you caugh so you can rid yourself of the mucus created.

Milk and eggs can stimulate mucus production.  So does wheat.  The albunim in all three of these can boost mucus.  To break up mucus, eat something with bromelaine in it, but without mucus producing chemistry.  This will thin the mucus but actually increase it sometimes.  Pineapple and grapefruit have this, but it is not heat stable meaning it needs to be fresh from the fruit.  Bromelaine is a proteinase which can clear out stuff and it is absorbed quickly and breaks down slime in the body.  slime is necessary to cover every organ and muscle though, so eating these things once a week is preferred.  Some alcohols are clarified with bromelaine too, so they can work also, it is active many times.  Bromelaine builds testosterone though in people, so too much is not good.   Too much proteinase screws up the necessary slime in our guts that protects our guts and aids in proper digestion.  so removing too much continuously is not good.

Bananas have bromelaine, but they also produce the slime because of other chemistry they have.  They are also strong histamines.  Sometimes that is good, sometimes it is not good. 

As the body gets rid of damaged cells it dumps them and the dead white blood cells into the lymph nodes and excretes them from the lymph ducts in the body.  Each area has their own lymph nodes and corresponding ducts.  If the ducts get blocked or enflamed, the lymph nodes will swell.  But the nodes themselves can get infected which can be more serious.  A person should study where these lymph ducts exit the body, it can be found on the net.  It is a release of a niacin compound from the dying cells that creates some of the symptoms of sickness.  These things are natural and sometimes treating the symptoms can cause a lengthening of duration of an illness.  But sometimes antihistamines and other chemicals are needed to keep a person from going cykotine storm and having our immune system kill us or shut us right down.  This rat race we created does not allow us to be stuck in bed for a couple of days.

Homemade chicken soup, made with a real chicken and some specialized ingredients and spices can knock out a virus in two days.  Strawberries can help kill a virus, but they steer our immune system away from fighting bacteria and fungus so you should know  what you have.  If you eat companion chemistry to fight bacteria at the same time, then it is not a problem.  Good chicken soup has some garlic and onions in it along with a little sage and the cartilage around the bone of the dark meat, which can assist in killing viruses.  Boneless chicken is no good for medicinal soup, neither is all white meat.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so miserable, I hope you get better.  Maybe you need two or three hot totties. Brandy, ginger brandy, honey, and lemon juice, if you need the recipe I will post it.  You can use real ginger, it actually tastes better, but the ginger flavoring has the chemistry that actually helps and it is part of what we taste that can help in this case.  Fresh ginger root has a lot of other medicinal properties, but the ginger powder flavoring is all that is needed here.

I've found that running around naked in a Summer rain has it's benefits too,
but this action has nothing to do with colds or flu... it's just my own personal
hobby.

Man-flu used to lay waste of this highly muscled-toned body I call home and I can
recall that my better-half never really appreciated the debilitating effect.
It was like gravity being increased and any power being created within these firm,
supple muscles, was being 'drawn off' as if another dimension was utilising my
spiritual and physical strength.


Maybe I shouldn't have jutted my jaw out in an heroic profile and assumed my
life-partner was incapable of understanding the negative feelings I was battling
with.

Maybe I shouldn't have just rolled my eyes as I realised the chicken-soup my wife
had brought -in bed, was alone and the daily newspaper was still downstairs.

Could it be that due to my eternal-wrestling with these horrible tiny infectious
diseases, I had misunderstood the warning signs from the love-of-my-life and
expected her to massage my feet just because I asked her to?

I'm older now and hopefully wiser. Colds never come this way and I believe that
my onboard defence-mechanisms will ward-off any of the newer, mutated diseases.
Most of the bruises from my complaining are now -just distant memories and
because of my age, my life-companion has deemed it wise that I limit my bare
-assed frivolity.

That's my cold-flu story.


Edit: In regards of my wanderings around my garden in 'nature's way' I related my
the tale above to my wife during her house-work and with a resigned -yet curiously,
malevolent smile, she told me she is designing something called a 'mankini' for
my good-self.

She added that she would make it out of those straps truckers use to hold their
cargo to their vehicles.
So I await.

boil a whole chicken, add lots of Garlic, eat.
