I started out a bit undecided when I found this, but I think I have to settle on outright creepy. In fact, REALLY creepy, in some ways.
First of all, who worships Napoleon? If you do like the historic persona that much, would you wear a small piece of him?
Napoleon's admirers will be able to carry his DNA on their wrists after a Swiss company announced Tuesday its plans to sell watches containing a fragment of the emperor's hair.
At the risk of sounding repetitive? Ewww!
Half-millimetre slices of his locks will be placed inside a limited series of some 500 watches that are to bear the likeness of Napoleon, said Viviane de Witt, CEO of De Witt watchmakers, told AFP.
They will sell for the price of around 8,000 euros ($10,000).
I think its safe to say that a deep respect for the man's legacy isn't driving the watch makers. Nice little profit there, I'd imagine.
I guess you are basically stating you have no belief in psychometry (or class..or decen...err...nvm..). After all, if you believe objects do carry echos or tangible imprints from the past and sufficient for some to get clear impressions back from? Hey, this one might just come with a tiny little slice of his ghost too! I've written some papers on Napoleon. He wasn't a nice man. I kinda hope people who would wear him, do get haunted. :)
