Hey, someone remind me....Why is it that we thought dumping private security at Airports to have a super-government blob running it all was a good idea???
Oh...brother...this is too much. So they've literally lost the keys to the whole physical access system, and not just 'lost the keys' but lost so many sets....no one can even be sure HOW absurd it is to imagine we have secure facilities?
So is anyone actually running ANYTHING at TSA or is it just a 'day to day...don't screw up too bad THIS day' type of thing going on over there?? Hey, I don't buy 90% of the fear nonsense they peddle like magic potion. Still..there is a % of people who would LOVE to hurt this nation and murder its citizens. This slapstick approach to 'security' invites them, and doesn't even keep honest psychos honest!
...and to answer another lingering question about disabling lost badges? Yes..they CAN deactivate these....when they bother to notice someone stole some, anyway.

So who wants to go catch a plane somewhere? It 'should' be safe! We 'should' be able to trust 'TSA looking people' actually are TSA.

"Clearly there are an awful lot of things falling through the cracks and there's just no room for error when it comes to this issue. We need answers. They're not providing them," said Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), who chairs the Transportation Committee.

As NBCDFW reported in March, more than 1,400 of the badges — which allow employees to access secure areas like runways and boarding gates — went missing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport over approximately two years.
Now, the station, in partnership with NBC San Diego, has learned that more than 270 badges went missing at the San Diego International Airport in the last two years.

Workers are supposed to report a missing badge within 24 hours, and the San Diego airport authority said it plans to do more to ensure that rule is followed.
