A good opinion piece does not need facts to make it relevant. Rather, a good opinion piece will have strong enough convictions that are effectively conveyed, that they will make readers think about and analyze their own opinions so that new facts can be gleaned from it.

Recently I have been seeing many conversations concerning the topic of De-Population. There are many viewpoints that are made by different types of rationale, but the majority seem to be against it. Out of that majority, the main argument seems to be along the lines of “Well, if you are for it, then volunteer your participation”. It is that mindset that keeps this topic in the gutter of misinformation and the reasoning that comes with that. What also does not help is the UN trying to explain why it is needed and how it should be implemented. Both of which are a bit off target, because the reasons why for both do not go along with what the end result is supposed to accomplish: A prosperous life for all by maintaining population numbers that are conducive to a healthy planet.
For instance, if UN or others with control and power want to reduce the population by releasing viruses that will kill the hundreds of millions of people across the plant who have compromised immune systems, that flies in the face of why they claim to want to curb the population in the first place. You do not commit an evil act for the purpose of a good outcome, and you certainly don't do it without a specific segment of the population in mind. (And who among us can argue that letting the population of the planet continue unchecked can be a good thing considering the state of the planet now?) Wanting to do it this way and actually stating that desire publicly is a disaster both on the PR front and from a realistic perspective. It leads to the misinformation of why this is needed and the practical, acceptable as well as humane way of getting it done. In short, it keeps people divided on the topic to where nothing is going to get accomplished except a growing population that are always at odds with themselves. Not very conducive to being a prosperous and productive planet, now is it?
The way this planet is run right now is the main reason why the current populations are a disaster for the planet. It's not so much the quantity of people, though that doesn't help, as it is the distribution of everything the populations need, and even the distribution of populations themselves to different parts of the world, so the world can more adequately sustain them. Even everything and everyone out in other words. What this world needs is a master logistical team and it needs it yesterday. What it also needs are other sets of leaders worldwide who are not overly concerned with the wealth and political motivations that they and their cronies have. If we have these two entities in place, then and only then can we move forward into the subject of de-population.
Ideally, de-population would consist lowering the population to people who have a firm grasp of the realities of this planet. How much there is of everything we need in order to live. Water supplies, food supplies, and the list goes on. They would also have a firm grasp of how every region of the world contributes, by way of it's natural resources, to the sustainability of the entire planet. In addition, they would also need a firm grasp of how many people, give or take a million, are an ideal fit for what this planet has to offer them. There really is a science to this.
Now, this next part may sound harsh, but we all know it's true. We all know people like this. The people who have shown and have proven by the way they live and their comprehension levels, their potential offspring will be taken out of the collective gene pool by the sterilization of these people in the current generation. Rich, poor, black, white, Protestant, Catholic, Atheist, Democrat, Republican …..........it doesn't matter. The label you wear, or how much you do or do not have in your bank account, or how much influence you have, or where you live has nothing to do with how well you comprehend this. You either do, have the ability to learn it, or you don't.
In a nutshell, what this requires is that everyone from the top down has to be unselfish and realize that this planet.......it's needs and what it has to offer us, is what we need to conform to. NOT the other way around. We've been trying to do that for hundreds of years now. Where has it gotten us? It also requires that everyone understand that both why we need to do this, and the implementation, go hand in hand. They compliment each other and work together. When people come to the realization that working together to make both the planet and ourselves healthy, is the right thing to do, then they get out of the selfish mindset that say people are more important. We're not. How can we be more important than that which gives us life? It's a preposterous notion that, sadly, way too many people adhere to.
And for the record, I do know a few people who fall into the category of never being able to understand the need for this or how the implementation would better humanity after a few short generations. And some of these people are blood. People I am emotionally close to. That does not deter me from believing that this course of action would be the best for everyone though. They would not be dying, after all. They would live out their God given days. Cultures, ways of life, belief systems, how you work and play.........none of that would change at all. The current generation would be sacrificing nothing. They would just be unable to continue on with that branch of the family tree. What would happen is that it would open up the opportunity for the family/families that are more in tune with what needs to happen, to expand more thereby giving this planet more people who understand and can better take care of it. This is how change happens, slowly and incrementally. Not quickly with grand gestures.
This planet gives us life and everything we need to sustain it. It's time to return the favor.
