I like the difference and the way they do things in Europe. There is another difference tho....
If that guy on the ground had been a 2 time felon with no interest in risking his 3rd pop? One or more of them would have likely been killed by the weapon they aren't trained to expect as better than a 50/50 chance for someone to be carrying here.
I'd think they could find something between the comforting touch these show there, from a largely unarmed society, vs. the outright storm trooper bum rush our cops do in reaction to the heavily armed public scene we are here.

I have been a victim of a knee buried in my neck in MAJOR pain, to only be released because they over reacted. What I noticed was the sissy screaming "I can't breath!" and then the Swedish Cop saying "Are you in need of medical help?", then perp, "NO!" I lol'd with that one!
But yea, there is a middle ground that definitely needs to be looked at! Citizens violating statutory laws, that are not harming or threatening anyone's safety, sure as hell don't deserve a police beat down.
That is true, and you're right. That is what is getting to be far too common. After all, the NYPD Choke hold case all started for what the idiots thought was illegal cigarette sales ...that never existed in the first place. In that, a man died for literally nothing.
