I'm over half Scandinavian--Scandinavian blood all sides and a mix of Viking and Indigenous Scandinavian (Sami) as a result. My dad really shunned his heritage but my grandmother always has said that my heart and mind was like her mother, who was Sami and viewed as a bit of a shaman.
My Grandmother used to sing Amazing Grace to me in the mornings while making breakfast on the weekends. I can hardly listen without a tear thinking of her and hearing this. I was the first grandchild and always got special attention from her. Southern Baptist from Arkansas, both grandparents read the JKV everyday. It is said my grandfather read it over 50 times.
So I now that I found a great rendition and thinking of my grandmother, I need cheering up so this is another favorite. This always brings a smile.
The feller here playing the mandolin and singing lead comes from right down the road from where I'm sitting. Bluegrass was invented here - don't ask me why they call it bluegrass, though. Looking around, they probably should have called it "brush and weeds". This wasn't actually taped anywhere even near here - you can probably tell from the lack of brush and weeds... and the utterly complete lack of mountains to break up that endless flatland!

Consumption levels of shine dictate color saturation of grass. It transforms to a blue when it no longer taste like lacquer thinner, and doesn't burn going down.
