Nice find! I'd take the silver polish to it ASAP! My great grandmother had a brush like that- I loved to brush her hair with it. The bristles were real horse hair and I always giggled about that when I was a kid. :)

That is beautiful! What a great find. I love antiques, but can rarely afford them so I'm always really excited when I find a nice one at a garage or yard sale that is priced cheap like your brush.
Very nice! I love the artistry its beautiful. Now if you come across old video games in the wild like that let me know =D
MY husband has been doing the flea market thing for over thirty years, you have no idea how many of those old games systems people want, he has sold a lot.

Antiques can be found cheap at flea markets, yard sales and second hand stores if the seller isn't aware of what they have or just doesn't care about the value and just wants to get rid of stuff. Many years ago I purchased some antique purses for really cheap and an antique necklace. There was a man selling them and just wanted to get rid of them. You may not find things cheap often, but it is well worth the hunt and the wait.
I have found some antique lace and embroidered hankies for cheap too. My last antique purchase was a tea cup and matching saucer that goes for about 30 bucks and it was half price because the store was going out of business. I may put a plant in it and give it as a gift.
The thing with collecting antiques is to know your stuff as there are many reproductions out there. If you see something and love it and think it's worth the price buy it. If it ends up a genuine antique that will be a plus, but buy what you love.
