It's kind of funny but I don't think I ever did an introduction "elsewhere". First time for everything, right? The hilarious thing is that you could ask me to find information on some obscure subject on the net and I can do that no problem. Introduction though--ahhhhhh the ambiguity!! So here I shall begin my incredibly awkward introduction.
First off, my name--a lot of people think it is some Alice in Wonderland reference. That's not the case--well not directly at least. In my case, White Alice comes from WACS--White Alice Communications System up in Alaska. Oddly enough, one of these stark and peculiar looking radio stations was featured in a family story about my late grandfather's career in the military. I thought it was rather appropriate to use as a name for a forum because, well, you communicate on forums. A fun fact about that is around the time WACS was built, the USAF's name game for their several of their projects and whatnot had a decided Lewis Carroll theme. They must've been huge fans. It's kind of funny to imagine the branch of the military which was vested with the most powerful weapon in the world was using names from children's books but they did.
Personally, I'm overeducated. My mother used to joke that I was aiming to be a professional college student. Reality was that I was a double major. Do have two degrees and the joke that my advisers always had was that there was probably one more stuffed in all of those credits. Definitely not a fan of intellectually snobbery. I think that great ideas can come from any source. Period.
Anyways, I can't think of anything else to say so time for the awkward exit. Am glad to see a lot of familiar names. Think that's pretty awesome as you're all the people whose thoughts I've always enjoyed reading. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm pretty private on some things but I also have a tendency to be an open book, too.
