This is the place to coordinate, discuss, and comment on the above mentioned collaborative story thread. New writers post here first to introduce your character to the rest of the writers. We will also be thrashing out the plots and stories here before they unfold there, to assure coherence.
A synopsis of the story line, as culled from the actual story thread:
In the swirling mass that is an average spiral galaxy, there are many currents. There is an ebb and flow, there are eddies and whirlpools, and the occasional logjam and the inevitable falls. There are few - if any - spiral galaxies more average than the Milky Way galaxy, home to a species known as "humans", among a plethora of other species both known and unknown.
Out at the edge of the space known to humans, there floats a space station. It amounts to less than a speck in the galaxy's eye - much less! - and orbits a supremely ordinary planet in a spectacularly ordinary star system in a barely known quadrant of human space populated paradoxically by very few humans and a vast quantity of not-humans. The space station, floating here in the shiny blackness of nothingness, snuggling in to an entirely unknown vastness beyond itself, is in reality the cutting edge of the advance of, if not exactly "civilization", then perhaps yet another of those ebbs and flows of movement that civilizations are known for. Perhaps even two - or more! - of those movements in competition and heading in opposite directions. that is, after all, what currents sometimes do.
It is an extraordinarily ordinary place - and may, at times, even sit in some need of repair.
Only Time will tell... and Time may not be in a talking mood at any given instant. it's all relative, I suppose.

My start. . .
Inside the space station is a central court. It has shops, stalls, bars, restaurants and theatres. It is a small consideration that the layout is identical in both shape and size to a medium sized mall located on a small planet in a region called Mooseknuckle, Iowa. No-one from Mooseknuckle has ever visited the station, nor has anyone on the station nor any of its designers have ever visited Mooseknuckle. One of the theaters was showing a popular film called, “Cows II, Cowniverous, a Night of Udder Destruction”. Inside the theatre, sat a small man named Led, he was from the House of Fallow. Led Fallow was about to die. He didn’t know it at the time. There was no portent, no omen, no indication that he was just seconds away from his death.

Well - Kewl!
This is a thought... It is certainly not rounded or well-directed, but, wondering if it is worth pursuing.
If I prey on lower-dimensional sources...there are vampires, like me, but of higher-dimensions...looking to prey on me. I have conceded the contest...already. They get me...either way. They hold my keys, but leave the chain to me.
Poor Ninurta... Doesn't realize he could beat this rap...and grow younger - if he'd just...deal.
The twins, Sky and Fhaa sat at a corner table and for all 'intent and purpose' appeared to be a strikingly beautiful couple (if they ever pulled their hoods back) who had stopped by for some refreshment. Sky at full height was 6'4" and Fhaa stood around 5'8". Not overly tall for humans but certainly not short either.
They were both armed with 12 inch daggers which were well concealed in their dress attire. Even if someone were able at first glance to catch sight of one of these daggers a normal Sentient would consider the blades a form of decoration or even some customary display of a martial dress code; not much of a threat where everyone carried blasters or much greater weapons; just puny little daggers after all. However, little did anyone know that the blades were able to emit a cutter beam out to 12 long steps, or just cut like a regular blade at 12" length. The cutter emitter was controlled by a biometric thumb wheel when the handle was grasped. Every click of the wheel would give a range for the cutter beam of approximately two steps. Six clicks were equal to 12 long steps.
The twins were not there to cause problems or even really be taken notice of. They were there to gather information for USSB (the multiverse Empire they belonged to) and more or less blend in with the locals. Considering all the different Sentients at this station the 'blending in part' should be no problem for their planned short stay.
If there were problems, Mom and Dad plus Tiki (their Phase ship) were just a thought away; so what could possibly go wrong ?
So far, the information they had gathered had been as expected and they both were getting a little tired of being spies. There was absolutely nothing glamorous about listening to broken thoughts about money, sex, and positioning for power which would also bring money...
Money and sex seemed to drive this universe or at least those at this bar. Sex they could understand but the whole over powering need for money they detected made both of them feel sorry for these Sentients.
The beings of this station with their particular stage of development, (they had not discovered Bulk travel) were a 'Satong a dozen' in this one of 10 universes..
The transit space station Sentients could still offer something to keen observers; (which Sky and Fhaa with their telepathic abilities of reading minds certainly were). Actually most Sentients would consider them super magically keen observers if not down right scary......... if the truth were known about their abilities...... which were augmented by their USSB biochips...
Otherwise just a young couple sitting in a corner enjoying a drink and each others company.
This is a thought... It is certainly not rounded or well-directed, but, wondering if it is worth pursuing.

You too - jump in at will. Be forewarned that there will likely be some dimensional travel both timewise and spacewise, but the travelers themselves may not have any idea of just how it's being accomplished.
Oh - and I have a hooded character in mind for interactions a bit further on, so we may have to figure out a way to keep the hooded characters separate in the readers mind - or not. that confusion itself could be a plot device.
Into the neon lit Bar walks Monty, He was not anything to look at and in fact one of his innate abilities was to blend in like a chameleon. He was dressed like a cliche biker from the 50's a less cooler version of the "fonze". Monty had traveled to the space station via an interdimensional portal he had created while he was bored at home. He had got the blueprints from the back of a cereal box which had promised adventure and excitement. But the one thing Monty wanted most of all was an answer to a question he has been asking since he was a kid. Could black holes produce the most concentrated and power gobstopper in the universe.
I can't believe what I am seeing. Those twins really have their nerve sitting at the corner table pretending to blend in here. They may fool a lot of other beings but they don't fool me one bit.Of all the beer joints and night clubs in this universe,WHY did they have to come to my place now? I have to make sure that I keep my distance from them. The life form I am in now can't block their telepathic powers.I have to stay in this form until the deal goes through. Why are they here? mumbling under her breath those blasted twins will ruin everything!
