@snarky412, Dear, you can set anywhere you want, the table is round because, those are serving tables, they move around to bring the plate of food to you from which you serve yourself. Enjoy! OH,,, I might add, that in the restaurants in China, at the door you'll have to hostess's that are there to keep the plates full and the drinks coming and you Don't Tip Them, that would be an insult. Yes, it is just a family restaurant, not a buffet, but you are not allowed to leave hungry, that meal today for a family of six may have cost in dollars $12.00.
For your information, the people in the picture are your waiter's and the Hostess's all responsible to see that you've enjoyed your Stay and meal and they answer to the Chef.
Sorry,,, just raving on and on,,, I miss the Hospitality of China, you couldn't get this kind of service at TGF or Red Lobster or any where!

Squid, eh? Rabbit? Is it OK if I just have some spaghetti with tomato sauce? I'm not as adventurous as I once was. I remember survival courses which gave us a chicken as our only food. I want to stay away from food I can recognize, especially those items that are smiling at me. Of course, that might be what the rice wine is for. I suppose if I had a bottle of that before dinner, I could manage fairly well.

that made me think of that time my sister and I were daring each other to eat a raw oyster (1 oyster) Finally, we both did it at the same time.....never again after that (yuck)
