Senona, you're quite right. Somewhere in my travels through garage sales and withdrawn library books, I picked up Effinger's When Gravity Fails. I read it a while back and the recipe stuck with me.
The only drink I've ever thought up (and I'm sure someone did before me) is the Dramlivet, half Drambuie, half Glenlivet. I suppose I should start experimenting, but considering that I average a drink every three weeks or so, it will take me a while to get a good recipe.
From what I hear Harper is a real piece of work. US sidekick on steroids. How he get's elected? Probably the same as here in the states either money/influence or those electronic voting machines from Spain. Don't really know for sure though. As far as the poor getting Canadian citizenship I'm wondering how they afford the tickets to get there in the first place.
Friend of mine owned the Tinder Box in a Seattle mall back in the 80's and gave me a Cuban cigar. Yeck, nasty thing I'll stick to my stinky pipe.
<Note: don't mind me tonight my brain stopped working hours ago.>

Say guohua, I'm not sure our budget can cover many more Cuban cigars. I was in Winnipeg recently and, as you know, Cuban cigars are legal in Canada. I looked up Thomas Hinds, Tobacconists, and learned that one could spend $80 (US) per cigar, and well over $1000 for a box. Sorry to be dull and unadventurous (not to mention cheap), but I don't believe that they can be that much better.
Well, My Friend, Don't you worry one minute about our supplies or what it's costing us to buy. This is where having a Communist, even an EX-Communist as your friend,,,, I know people in Low Dark, Nasty Places,,,,,and they Owes us Favors and so,,, we're well supplied for you and our other members.
You made me curious, so I took a look at the most recent Canadian election results. Harper's party won 54% of the seats, the NDP took 34% and the third party (out of a dozen or so) took about 10%
However he won, it doesn't seem to have been by manipulating a couple of elections out of the over 300 elections involved.
If I was running Canada, and someone told me that they didn't expect to save up $500 sometime before they got full citizenship, I'd think twice about allowing them in. (Some exceptions for true humanitarian cases)
