Heck.. Did we expect different? She was doing the bidding of the President..and we know there is no law that can touch someone working at his beck and call. (See: Holder and official immunity from even being investigated..for more info)
So it took the cover-up team a full year to even get around to having the errand boy there, write a 7 page 'she won't be touched' letter? Hell...I've assisted remedial English students here that could generate a coherent 7 page report in less than that time!

Why bother? I'm serious. Why even bother with the effort? The law doesn't apply to those King Obama smiles upon ...while the law will destroy those who he comes to frown at. (Ask Hillary how it feels to be roasted alive on something the President knew she'd done years ago.......and she got the frown)
Perhaps...when Obama is long past GONE from abusing our nation further, the immunity conveyed by official action or unofficial deed (like this) will be lifted from the criminals who need to account for the damage they've done to regular, average citizens. If there is any justice, anywhere left....they will not walk free forever.
Then again, that last question is a pretty valid one at the moment. Justice seems the stuff of history books. At least at the Department carrying the name.
The Justice Department will not seek criminal contempt charges against former IRS official Lois Lerner, the central figure in a scandal that erupted over whether the tax agency improperly targeted conservative political groups.
Ronald Machen, the former U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, told House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) in a seven-page letter this week that he would not bring a criminal case to a grand jury over Lerner’s refusal to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in March 2014. The House approved a criminal contempt resolution against Lerner in May 2014, and Machen’s office has been reviewing the issue since then.

Lerner and other IRS officials, however, are still under investigation by the FBI for the tea party targeting matter — which is a separate probe entirely.
