Hickory Dickery Dock....Hillary can't run out the clock.
A week or so ago, I recall reading an article that stated Hillary's team believed they could ride out the Email scandal storm by simply ignoring it, and it would fade in the fast moving news cycle.
They were wrong. They were profoundly wrong.
Since shortly after the attack on our Diplomatic Compound in Benghazi Libya and the cold murder of four Americans in the line of duty, there has been a call for letting it go. There have been calls that demand investigations have already happened, its been worked out, all is known, and anyone unable to accept that is ignorant, at best. I recall debates with people at TOS who said it amounted to a Tempest in a Teapot and would fade in time. Despite folks like me pointing out that the public would NEVER let the over-run of a U.S. facility overseas and murder of our Ambassador slide as a 'done deal', at least, until the fat lady sings? The retorts were firm, and without hesitation in saying it was over, and nothing would come of it.
They too, were wrong. Profoundly wrong.
It is said, even Nixon didn't outright destroy the tapes. He just ..err..umm...lost a few minutes on one of them. That cost the man his Presidency, in a way even his OWN party came to see and were the final words telling him it was time to step down, prior to him actually doing it.

Now there is something about Mrs. Clinton's PERSONAL past that makes an observation about Richard Nixon both relevant and more than a little interesting.
I didn't make this graphic. I found it online, but it shows truth. That is her. This is public record, and interesting reading as background trivia of the Nixon Administration's fall from power. She was a minor cog in the machine, and a little part of the process which made that happen.
It'll be a sweet irony across history if she is taken down by something in the very same class of offense as what destroyed Nixon in the end. Her life will have come full circle, in fact.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi, sent a request to Clinton's personal attorney, David E. Kendall, requesting that Clinton appear before the committee no later than May 1 for a transcribed interview about the server and email.
It is said, even Nixon didn't outright destroy the tapes. He just ..err..umm...lost a few minutes on one of them. That cost the man his Presidency, in a way even his OWN party came to see and were the final words telling him it was time to step down, prior to him actually doing it.
The request comes after Kendall told Gowdy that the server had been wiped clean and that it would be impossible to recover the 30,000 emails Clinton deleted last year.
Gowdy, in his request to Kendall, also asked Clinton to "reconsider" her refusal to turn over the server to a neutral third party, which he called "highly unusual, if not unprecedented."
