It seems a deputy Police Chief in Fresno California has been one of the more successful dope dealers in the city, as well.
wow
It wasn't that long ago I was a trucker going through Fresno almost weekly, and going into Fresno for one reason or another, often enough to say this really grabbed my attention.
Corrupt cops? Well, not a new thing these days I'm afraid. Unfortunately, it is even common enough to hear about corruption related to narcotics or the units which are dedicated to enforcing that area of the law.
However.... really??!!
28yr veteran and member of the command staff of a mid-size city police department? Oh.. Fresno..I feel for ya. I don't wonder how many are dirty in that P.D.. It would be a shorter list, I'm thinking, to find those who are NOT. That is quite a central figure to suggest was doing this sort of thing without a wider awareness.

I wonder...can a city in California just fire a whole department, the way we can in Missouri? It sounds like that is almost what needs to happen, to be sure a kernel of corruption doesn't remain to keep infecting into the future. Yikes!

FRESNO, Calif. (CN) - A deputy police chief has found himself on the wrong side of a cell after a year-long investigation ended Thursday with federal agents arresting him for an alleged conspiracy to distribute oxycodone, heroin and marijuana.
Keith Foster, 51, a 28-year veteran of the Fresno Police Department, was arrested with three other people, including his relative Denny Foster.

Thursday's complaint marks the second time in a month that the Fresno police department faces questions about misconduct within its ranks.
In February two Fresno business owners filed a federal lawsuit against 10 Fresno police officers whom they said seized $100,000 during an investigation into an allegedly illegal gambling ring.
