Obama just blows me away with his singular drive to force his will upon others, even in the face of contrary reality.
#1. These terrorists we fight are believers in the Islamic religion.
#2. They cite, personally, Islam and the tenets of the Quran as their first, last and *ONLY* motivation in fighting for what and how they are.
#3. They prepare for martyr missions with the full cleansing process and mental preparation for death, to join Allah in paradise. As the Holy Quran describes and promises it, in ISLAMIC Belief.
This would make them ISLAMIC fighters ..and I'd tend to say Islamic Extremists ...but if the President hates that term so much? We can just call them Islamic and leave it there, which will make a growing % of people happy enough without clarifying the guys further.
Among his other examples of naive or imperial policy focus? His very determined efforts to control the language and words (which seem to fail, spectacularly, often) are both pathetic and sad. Are his people still under orders to call ISIS "ISIL"? I can't help but chuckle, or just sigh, every time I hear a bot to the President regurgitating that name, seemingly because they just demand everyone use it (and no one..but them..does).

Umm..Do they test for intelligence at CIA and simply reject anyone who shows an above average level of it?? Obviously, smart people do NOT make it into the Director's suite, and perhaps Bill Casey can be called the last competent professional to hold the position.
As to the idiocy our current CIA director spouts above? I'd remind the mental midget, his reasoning is solid enough, but twisted. That reasoning isn't why we avoid calling them Islamic Extremists. It is simply why we add EXTREMIST on the end of the term, and not just call ALL Muslims mudering animals...how the extremists absolutely ARE.
At least, that is my opinion.

While President Obama and his aides insist that Muslim extremists have nothing to do with Islam the religion, other world leaders are leaving that approach behind.
British Home Secretary Theresa May on Monday announced a get-tough policy that includes a comprehensive strategy to combat what she called “Islamist extremists,” a phrase the Obama administration officials have repeatedly refused to use.

CIA Director John Brennan is the most recent senior Obama official to reject the use of the phrase “Islamic extremists.”
At a forum at the Council on Foreign Relations on March 13, he said he was “amused” by the intense focus on what label President Obama and his aides used. Calling the terrorists “Islamic,” Mr. Brennan argued, plays into the enemy’s hands.
Terrorism, he said, “is totally inconsistent with what the overwhelming majority of Muslims throughout the world [believe],” he said. “And so by ascribing it as, you know, Muslim terrorism or Islamic extremism, I think it really does give them the type of Islamic legitimacy that they are so desperately seeking, but which they don’t deserve at all.
