Antarctica is still undeserved for the ability to observe a major blind spot, and over all assets looking at the sky to generally catalog interesting stuff, for the sake of just building that record, are slim and underfunded to extremes ....if one considers the downside of missing just ONE that comes 'too close'.

True...Comets are hard to 'miss' from a long way out....usually. Then again. look at the Comet name list and then consider, we have little to no real ideas much of what may really be outside the bubble and magnetic goo Voyagers found we're surrounded by.
