Hey, this one must have REALLY pissed off the wrong people and voting the wrong way a few too many times.
It isn't just a sitting U.S. Senator, but a Democrat under a Democratic Administration at that! (The Dems have no corner on the 'overlooking stuff' market of course, and seems to run common to who is in power..which makes this more interesting, indeed!)
Washington (CNN)The Justice Department is preparing to bring criminal corruption charges against New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez, alleging he used his Senate office to push the business interests of a Democratic donor and friend in exchange for gifts.
I know what it is. The Senate refuses to vote on Holder's replacement and Holder won't leave until he's properly replaced. So he's mad and acting out?
People briefed on the case say Attorney General Eric Holder has signed off on prosecutors' request to proceed with charges, CNN has learned exclusively. An announcement could come within weeks. Prosecutors are under pressure in part because of the statute of limitation on some of the allegations.
Whether true or not on that last thought? I'll bet this DOES motivate the Senate to move on getting Holder replaced a little quicker. He's getting restless, no doubt.

The ignorance, childishness, and unlawfulness of our government should be becoming an embarrassment to the citizens of this country they represent! Yet, we fight like children in kindergarten, when caught doing something wrong and say, "Well so and so did it!"?
Imagine any civilized and honest government in this WORLD, who would take such tainted words as the truth and become our allies.
I urge anyone that can watch this movie to do so! "IDIOCRACY" I watched it years ago and thought it was the dumbest damn movie I have ever seen! Now? I think it is a prophecy of how damned stupid humanity has become!
When will the citizens have enough, OR have we now become the greatest reason for the extinction of the human race?
I really am BEGGING for some answers! My sanity is on the brink.
So... has anyone looked up Bob's voting record? Does he talk the talk as well as WALK it...or is he a party traitor in name, but a faithful follower when it comes time to cast his vote on a bill or issue?
I hadn't looked and don't have time right now..but if someone else can pull his voting record, it could be informative....either way.

I think it's his foreign policies that set him apart from Obama & Co.
"On most issues, Menendez is a fairly conventional pro-business Democrat. He supports same-sex marriage, abortion rights, and the Affordable Care Act, and he is one of the Senate's leading advocates for comprehensive immigration reform.[1] On foreign policy, however, he has emerged as one of his party's most hawkish legislators."
He is "Pro-Israel" ....where as Obama doesn't act like it
Plus he's all for stronger sanctions on Iran, not negotiating....
In late 2013, he sparred openly with the Obama administration over the issue, trying to pass new sanctions on Iran even as the administration was attempting to negotiate an interim deal for Tehran to restrict its enrichment in exchange for partial sanctions relief. "A so-called Iranian charm offensive is simultaneously matched by an actual offensive to cross the nuclear weapons threshold," Menendez claimed in a November 2013 op-ed in USA Today. "Tougher sanctions will serve as an incentive for Iran to verifiably dismantle its nuclear weapons program
When a White House spokesman warned in December 2013 that new sanctions would lead Iran to conclude that Washington had been negotiating in "bad faith,"[8] potentially sinking the whole deal, Menendez complained about the administration's "fear-mongering" rhetoric. Even after an interim deal was reached, Menendez—working again in collaboration with Kirk and AIPAC[9]—vowed to seek new sanctions as an "insurance policy" in case Iran reneged on the deal, which experts said was unlikely.[10]
Menendez spoke out against provisions in an appropriations bill to allow Cuban-Americans to visit their relatives in Cuba once a year and to loosen trade restrictions on food and medicine, pressuring the White House to interpret the statute as narrowly as possible.[19]
Well, I see this kind of as a good thing. Dems turning on Dems, GOP turning on GOP. It shows as IE said that there are many with power who are actually two sides of the same coin.
If you rock the boat at all, regardless of what party you belong to, they will throw you under the bus.
Cruz defending Menedez, Pelosi and Reid defending Boehner...strange times indeed.
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
