I just caught Obama on the boob-tube being the regular Buffoon-in-Chief that he normally is. However, this time his irony for timing with ignorance is notable ...even for this guy. (That is saying something!)
He is out babbling about lower unemployment rates and growing economies ....while in other headlines today and from numbers released from his same Government, we get this:
So........about mid term with Jimmy Carter was the last time they saw actual individual people employed and productively supporting their families at this LOW a level? Indeed... Just to be real clear on that point.

Now Obama might sound convincing and like he knows more than what his speech writers type up each day ...but he's talking sunshine and lollipops while more people are hurting than has been seen since the 70's. Tone Deaf is starting to become too dramatic an understatement with this guy.
There are also....less flattering looks....at the employment phenomenon over the last 10-15 years, and they happen to dovetail with another major abuse about to be committed on the nation with Immigration "reform" (free for all, is more accurate).

Of course, that is getting into factual stuff....and we know this President isn't a big fan of facts when they contradict his version of reality. So, we'll keep hearing about a great new economy...as many of us are right up close to watching how that is damn sure not an even distribution of happy faces, by any stretch. Be politically popular, or work for a growing Government. Those seem to be the strongest keys, at times, to successful employment.

(CNSNews.com) - The labor force participation rate hovered between 62.9 percent and 62.7 percent in the eleven months from April 2014 through February, and has been 62.9 percent or lower in 13 of the 17 months since October 2013.
Prior to that, the last time the rate was below 63 percent was 37 years ago, in March 1978 when it was 62.8 percent, the same rate it was in February.

"The civilian labor force participation rate, at 62.8 percent, changed little in February and has remained within the narrow range of 62.7 to 62.9 percent since April 2014," the BLS said in its release on the February employment data.
92,898,000 Americans were not in the labor force in February, according to data released from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) on Friday.

Government data show that since 2000 all of the net gain in the number of working-age (16 to 65) people holding a job has gone to immigrants (legal and illegal). This is remarkable given that native-born Americans accounted for two-thirds of the growth in the total working-age population. Though there has been some recovery from the Great Recession, there were still fewer working-age natives holding a job in the first quarter of 2014 than in 2000, while the number of immigrants with a job was 5.7 million above the 2000 level.
All of the net increase in employment went to immigrants in the last 14 years partly because, even before the Great Recession, immigrants were gaining a disproportionate share of jobs relative to their share of population growth.
