Have you ever had something disappear in your home or workplace, only to be found later in a different location where you know it shouldn't be?
I watched a show a few weeks ago where an inhaler that was always kept next to a child's bed was missing when they needed it. The father found it in the open loft later in a space that was too high for the child, or anyone for that matter, to reach without a ladder. There is was, just on the edge of the of the loft floor.
I've had several experiences of this high-strangeness myself: Just now, I was taking a new ink pen refill out of the package to put in my gel pen, but I dropped it. I saw it land in my lap, so I reached down to pick it up... but, it wasn't there. I even felt it with my fingers as I reached to grab it before it fell to the floor, but then my grasp turned to nothingness.
I stood up, searched my clothing, the chair, floor, desk area... everywhere in the area around me. It didn't fall with enough force to go far, but it was nowhere to be found!
This has me a little bewildered and perplexed at the moment, to say the least. It disappeared right before my eyes... and fingers! fc/insomnia
Did it go into another dimension? Is there a portal in my work area? Did a ghost grab it to write a letter? L_L
I await finding this pen refill in my kitchen cabinet, or under my pillow tonight. That's where I usually find things that disappear around here; in some strange place it shouldn't be. 7/39
Socks seem to be the main thing to be attracted to this phenomena. 7/39
I do think that it is mainly absent mindedness, or rather not thinking at all of the current and just operating on auto-pilot.
The biggest item I saw disappear was a refrigerator. I was farm-sitting a friends farm last month and when they came home, they asked me where it was. (It was in the garage and had broke). I told them that I thought they had finally gotten rid of it last October. (I farm-sit monthly).
We all looked at each other like the other was stoned.
I have a damn good memory and clean the garage every time I go out there. It was there in Sept. and gone in Oct. He swears he didn't move it and just notices it gone in Feb? Wow! Seems to me he would remember moving something that big.

Doug, yes, that is a rather large item to go missing.
Is there anyone around who could have stolen it in their absence?
Maybe a ghost needed it to keep the food cold that seems to be disappearing from people's kitchens. Too bad it was broken. I hope this doesn't anger the ghost too much! L_L
Mystic Wanderer, He's out in the sticks, and I've thought of theft but rule it out. The one time I opened the fridge while cleaning the garage, I had to run outside and dry heave for quite a bit. I couldn't go back into the garage even with the door open airing the place out for an hour. It stunk that bad. It used to be the beer fridge till it died.
He has had a lot of weird things go missing in that garage. A wood splitter, Circular saw, Chain saw, which reappeared two months later in the same place, etc, etc.
I think that he's just forgetful, but he denies that of course. kl5222a5cb
He'll remember a scrap piece of wood that I burned two months prior, but can't remember where he puts other things.
I not only clean the place, but organize it as well. It's a rather large attached garage. One bay could hold two vehicles and the other could hold one. I know where things are in that garage better than he does. Even if I haven't moved it.
This happens to a lot of people. And it seems ghosts that live in garages like to take the equipment. Probably a former owner that lived there and feels that stuff belongs to him.
Mystic Wanderer, Oh, I would never call him crazy. He just has a busy disorganized mind. He just takes on to many projects at once, and spreads himself to thin.
He's getting better at it though now as he is finally making lists of things he needs for each project. Maybe he got sick of me bitchin' about time lost with all the store runs and his Mrs. bitchin' about all the money being spent willy-nilly. And he is finally slowing down on what projects he takes on.
Experience is one hell of an educator!
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
That almost sounds like me for the busy and chaotic mind, running too many directions.
I'd rather take the 5th on just how many times I've 'lost' something....to eventually find it in plain friggen sight to where my line of vision had been crossing repeatedly during the search. Just not focused more than maybe 20-30% on the effort, I think. Modern world multi-tasking does have its serious downsides...huh?
Mystic Wanderer, Back to the topic of ghosties, I do think that there is something going on at the farm. Maybe paranormal? I did mention a couple of things that I had noticed over the times I've spent there. Not only things disappearing, but other noises and things like doors that were closed, I find open later, or in another case, I distinctly heard a door slam upstairs when I knew they all had been already closed. That one sent the dog off in a tizzy.
It can't be an heater or old duct work or water pipes as I helped him replace all that with modern equipment. We even totally rewired the place.
But it is a refurbished old school house from the late 1880's. It has a lot of history behind it. He and his wife have heard things as well, but keep it mum because they don't want to freak the kid out.
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
I wouldn't say that necessarily. The place is out in the sticks but about maybe 30 miles or so east of Cleveland. The night sky is gorgeous and I have seen some weird things outside as well. I did see an orange orb hovering and slowly move off after a few minutes of watching it. No noise either.
I've also seen, more than once, bright flashes of light that light the whole area up, like lightning or a transformer blowing up and yet there is no noise.
When these things happen, not only does the dog go into a tizzy but I do as well and end up doing room clearing procedures and checking the property. I never go out there unarmed.
Not that I'm paranoid, but the property is located between Cleveland, Youngstown and Warren, Ohio, which are all well known for their criminal populace that reside in those cities.
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
Build a fairy house ( a bird house like thing.. just for the fairys.. maybe cute little sign on it)
Then make sure their is a little space
put shiney cheap objects in the bowl or extra space costume jewlery, rocks, aluminum foil (small shiny piece), and/or some shiney pennies and coins Small and shiney
put a change bowl under the fairy house as well put coinage in it
So, are you saying you think the aliens beamed the lost items up to them?
They will zap a beam of their powerful mind thoughts on the broken cooler and fix it lickedy split! If we are visited by drunk aliens in the near future, I'll know who to blame!

bonhommearmonica, is this to go outside, or inside the house? My disappearing items are always inside, but then, Hubby says he always has things missing in his garage. He blames it on his friends that come and hang around.
Hummmm... I didn't even think about the ghosts being responsible out there. I'll have to mention this to him. They could be trying to stir up negative feelings between him and his friends. 7/39
I can't believe this has never occurred to me! ME... of all people!!! L_L
