I've always thought that a team running for office should enter the race as a whole organization. Not pick and choose as the race goes on.
My Dream Team? Here goes and feel free to blaze away...I can take it. wk522295e2 yi52229f20OK, maybe not. L_L
Scott Walker - POTUS John Kasich - VP Gen. Petrauus - SecDef Perry - DHS (He would oversee the dismantling of that Dept.) Ryan - Secretary of Interior Carson - Secretary of State Hunter - Secretary of Commerce Ron Johnson - Secretary of Agriculture
And bring Ron Paul back out of retirement to head a commission to eliminate many of the agencies that really are not needed such as Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Labor, and Treasury and to also eliminate useless spending.
What say you? Give me some ideas so I can research the backgrounds of those who will be running. I know it's not perfect, but at the moment, I think CPT. Kangaroo and Mr. Greenjeans would be better than what we have now.
I like you too much to comment on a few of those names. :)
General Betrayus is a start.
C'mon man, it's all good. I don't take this personal. Any Politician is somewhat 'effed up in my mind, some more than others, but still effed up.
Let it out!
Watchoo like? 7/39 L_L
Carson is really the only one I would give a chance. He is a Doctor, and he has no political roots or ties to the current mafia. At least to my knowledge, unless he is a sleeper cell to take up the slack, if you know what I mean?
He is scary enough to scare the status quo of both parties, IMO.
As far as the other? Already established. No thanks.
I however would, go out and vote in the next presidential election for Ron Paul. I will vote for anyone who isn't associated with our current batch of psychopaths!
Walker is fairly new to the scene and seems to walk his own path. He has plenty of enemies within the GOP as well. So far he seems to be a straight shooter and I have family and friends in Wisconsin, some of whom are hard core Democrats who have said that he had done the State right.
Kasich wrote the balanced budget for the Clinton Admin back in the '90's. Clinton got the credit, but Kasich wrote it.
I've worked under Petreaus and he was a no nonsense common sense Commander. (I could give a rats ass that he had an affair) but he can lead. Maybe Retired Gen. Mattis? He would be great as well as SecDef.
Ben Carson is awesome IMO but I don't think he is ready quite yet for POTUS. He needs a little more seasoning.
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

You have been out of the military for awhile though haven't you?
I have heard Petreaus wasn't so well liked by his subordinates towards the end of his tenure. Maybe, I am wrong, but you obviously have had more experience with him than I did. Also, don't think for a second I dislike him for his sexual prowess. That is between him and his ole lady! Non of my business. What people do behind closed doors? Go for it!
I do like Walker and Kasich, but I am done believing in those who are already established. I mean seriously? Even if the next president is one of the first presidents in a long time who follows the principles of our founders, what can he do with the corrupt house and senate that belongs to the banks and corporations?
Eh, I guess I just have lost all hope. Not just because of our politicians either, but the people who worship them as Gods......
emotionallyincorrect, Oh...Petreaus was a Class 1 asshole. But Generals are supposed to be that way. I can't say I liked him, but I respected him because he meant what he said in regards to military operations, so you actually knew where you stood in that regard. He was pretty successful in his military career. (Not so much his personal life, but I have seen that happen over the years to pretty much everybody)
Beware the man who has one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
I actually don't know personally any of my picks (except the odd encounter here and there with Petreaus) so I can't say I like them. I actually don't like some of them, but they have all earned my respect as they seem to know what they are doing in many aspects. I look at their track record, not their personalities. Their personalities play a secondary role when I consider a candidate. Still something to take note of though.

Here is the key to any successful Officer OR NCO in the military. Be a firm hard ass, but FAIR to your subordinates.
Also, LEAD BY EXAMPLE! Something that I find very wrong with our current government are the war mongers who are quick to send our troops to a war that isn't about protecting our nation, but about making money for the military/industrial complex!
I find it high time that as advanced as our civilization has become, it is high time for the war mongers to lead the damn charge!
Especially since it seems to have become a tradition for politicians to not only send the troops to fight their battles, but to deny them the care they deserve upon arriving back home after the battle is over! Maybe in my old age I have become a pacifist, but if I have it is due to those reasons!
I guess what poisons my mind the most about Peteaus, was that he left the military to join the CIA. I honestly don't know any honorable soldier regardless of rank that would want to join that organization.
Those are just my opinions, not meant to say I am right, but just how I feel about these things?

Don't give away your respect so easily. Make them earn it!
emotionallyincorrect, C'mon! Stir that grey matter up! Who's your Dream team!? It's a thought challenge and has to be realistic. No Jesse Ventura, Wrabbit or such stuff.
Let your imagination flow...
I don't have one Doug!
I have lost all faith in my government!
Just as years ago I lost all faith in God!
Our fate is in OUR hands as human beings. Not God NOR the Government!
Just my opinion and not at all meant to upset someone who does believe in God. I respect that!
Notice I didn't say that about those who believe in "Government"?
God might reward us or condemn us upon our death, but for man to worship government, and to obey it even when it has gone rogue, is not the governments fault, but the fault of the man who gave them that power!
I can respect that. This is a mental exercise though after all. A fantasy, a wish, though based upon realistic expectations so it doesn't spin out of control.
When I daydream, (I call it wargaming) I try to keep it as realistic as possible. I guess my version of daydreaming is my way of looking at problems and possible solutions.
I hate giving up. It's not in my nature. But I have done it from time to time. I call it "cutting sling load" and rarely think about it again after I have done so. It frees the mind up for new problems to dwell over.

I understand.
Don't think I have given up either!
I guess I am just a disappointment to what society calls normal.
I gave it many chances, but in the end I felt used.
I now have the mentality of our founders. Not to worry though, you won't read about me in the papers, I am not one of those guys!
I am just waiting. I will claim the moral high ground as those who fought at the battle of Lexington and Concord.
I have been praying to whatever God will listen to take me off this rock the past five years. Apparently, they either don't exist, or they have other plans for me.
