Is it just me, or is my title proof of propaganda?
Our country is going to hell in a hand basket and IMO it sure as hell doesn't have a thing to do with terrorists!
I has to do with the lack of good paying jobs, it has to do with a militarized police force, it has to do with crony capitalism etc etc.....
But what am I hearing from the upcoming chosen?
"Foreign Policy"
Ahhh, so is that why we have ISIS? Is that why more laws are in the works to further clamp down on freedom for the citizens, but a free for all for the illegals coming in?
Start paying close attention folks! We are being lead by a leash on our necks!
I'm really mixed on this. Now, I am NOT mixed about American troops having no part in the fight with ISIS...but foreign policy in general?
Well, we've played isolationist twice our nation's history. It went very poorly, both times. The first time was waiting a few years into World War I before deeming it worthy of our effort ..and we came to really regret that in some ways too. Economically, I mean, not just what came next. Then we sat out World War II for the first several years of it, when we count the Pacific as part of it for timing.
Either time? Our isolation from the fight caused us to face the distant but real possibility of severe economic damage and/or military defeat. World War I would have hurt..real bad..if Europe ended differently. We needed broken nations to lend/lease and post-war loan to for the roaring 20's to come. It probably could have ended much sooner..had we not waited.
..and World War II is easy. If we'd not entered, or (cough) been forced to enter, then we'd have watched Europe and the Pacific rim fall to the respective Axis powers until they finally met somewhere between them, and turned the other way. I figure they'd have met somewhere in Kansas or perhaps the Continental Divide for where to split North America, had we faced a fight with no allies left.
So...Can we ignore foreign policy? Oh good God no. Weak American leadership and wimpy responses is HOW we've gotten to this mess in the first place. It needs to be support and enthusiastic for outcome, not ticket punching for P.R. points IMO. The difference is good foreign policy vs welcome mat for everyone to stomp all over, while they eye each other to stomp on next.
Support doesn't mean troops tho...enough with the American boys (and now girls) fighting and dying for someone else's home, in someone else's nation. Supply the right side, if necessary..but thats it to my thinking.

When was the last time any of our foreign policy been effective!
That really wasn't what I was attacking, but that is my lack of written skills to properly write down my thoughts. Not you!
But anyhow, this is what I am hearing on the news!
I'm sorry, but the US government has some damn catching up to do with taking care of it's own people! I have no faith in our foreign policy anymore! IMO, our foreign policy is nothing more that a banker take over of countries that refuse to jump on board with the IMF. It has nothing what so ever to do with liberating a country! Name one country that is better off since we liberated them. Starting Bush Jr.
Again, my mind is wandering, but as for now, our economy SUCKS! Jobs SUCK! The only people making money? Those who create the laws, and those in the banking industry and Wall Street!
How about we give Americans a choice?
1) We will spend BILLIONS to fight terrorism.
2) We will spend BILLIONS to create jobs.
Which one do you think most Americans would choose?
I guess it just irritates the hell out of me when I see the big bad terrorist boogey man pop up again, and when anyone on the MSM mentions an upcoming puppet, it is about foreign policy?
I know I am hard to follow sometimes Wrabbit, but does that make sense?
Oh it makes perfect sense! I tend to agree too. I mean, I'll even take Ron Paul's approach of general and global withdrawal of active garrison forces to hold a very strong defense with offensive ability back home...not scattered all over the planet in very expensive bases.
We do need to focus on stuff back home and far more than we have. Of course, we have a problem too..We can never fully turn from the world, because we've spent 70+ years leading it by carrot and stick. Those we have 'stuck' with the stick would love to shove it right back up our (bleep bleep) :)
So we gotta watch our back while fixing our house, but amen to needing home repairs before fixing other houses.
