Thank you. I had forgotten that portion of the war. We forget so many important things, and what's worse, we're never taught them.
I don't know what to say. There are important ideas and human experiences. They have been discussed and faced since our earliest history. Truths have been given to us, and we've left them on the shelf. Is it any wonder that our thoughts are as frivolous and inconsequential as they are?
We're not given the memories or the facts. Even if we had them, our reason isn't trained to use them. It costs so much to have to relearn those lessons, and not all in that school survive.
