I'm glad that someone, somewhere, had the sense to talk him out of this.
Mitt Romney announced Friday that he will not run for president in 2016.
The announcement comes after the 2012 GOP nominee told donors earlier this month he was considering a run.
ORIGINAL STORY ...
Former Mitt Romney supporters are starting to defect to the political orbit of ex-Florida Gov. Jeb Bush as both men weigh entering the 2016 presidential race, leaving the 2012 Republican nominee without part of his core team. (Source)
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the field is going to come down to Bush, Walker and Christie. I'd back Walker, the others, not so much.

I'll agree... I'll back Scott Walker, unless it turns out there are major things I don't know about him. (Gotta include that these days).
If nothing else, Walker took some almost dangerously unpopular positions, stuck with them to the end and saw it through to a FINISH. Something the last 2 or more Presidents can't spell, let alone actually DO in any real way.
Christie is as Republican as Obama, but with better P.R.. I mean c'mon.... A Republican fit to represent the whole party of conservative thinking ...is going to be a favorite and loved figure in NEW JERSEY??? The only place more blue than NJ is where the people are called Smurfs and some guy named Pappa runs the place. Just because he says it, don't make him one. ..and Bush? Well. I hate dynasty. That ought to sum it up for that one.
Romney tho... Thank you Mitt! You didn't pull a Nixon to just keep harassing the nation until elected out of sheer frustration. That is something, anyway.

Yep, he definitely showed some backbone, particular on the union issue, and the result is a better Wisconsin today than it was when he was elected. Wouldn't it be nice to have a better America today than it was when President Obama was elected?
That said, Walker is pretty polarizing, and if the Dems had sent up a better candidate last November, he may well have not been re-elected. But we will have to see what sort of platform he sets out during the primaries.

I like Walker because they threw everything they could at him and he still be beat them. Even after they (democrats) bused in protesters occupied the State Capitol, etc. Something today no one else can say. Republicans are afraid of their own shadow, Walker has cast a light on the grand spending shadow of democrats and kicked ass. People love a winner and he isn't afraid to take them head on, it will be interesting for sure.
He is an example of surviving the democrats making things up if they can't develop enough negative reaction to something they say. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has elevated herself to the level of snake crap in a wagon track. I wonder how low the democrats can go before embarrassment actually has an effect on the party, or will they continue to be shameless with the support of the marketing efforts of the main stream media. The show is getting ready to begin, the world will receive a grand effort of negativism directed at what is supposed to process of learning the qualities of a candidate.
