Now folks, I hate to sound like that Commandant on Police Academy...but our nation has many many problems, with many many issues to see about reforming or addressing. There aren't many many people and there sure isn't unlimited energy to fight every battle at roughly the same moment. (sigh)

Oh.. C'mon.. Really?? I put this in Politics, specifically, because this ain't about Abortion. Pro/Con or just not caring either way. There isn't a cupcake's chance in a hurricane that Obama would *EVER* sign this, and this nation is TOO near evenly split on this debate as a CORE 'fighting words' debate to even JOKE about getting a Super Majority for a Veto override. (Obama's core supporters would be the ones demanding his impeachment and suddenly warming up to Biden like a long lost buddy).
This just resurrects one of the most brutal debates our nation has, from time to time, at just about the worst moment possible. I mean, the White House wouldn't go pee on the Capital if it were on fire, and that was the only liquid for miles. Congress would probably be happy to defund the White House right into mothballs and put Obama in a Hotel if they could somehow get away with it. It's about as bad as ever .....
....so of course, there can be no better time that right now. Hang on for a REAL wild ride if Congress plays to get a Veto on record. (slaps forehead)...repeatedly.
NEW YORK (AP) — Buoyed by conservative gains in the November election, foes of abortion are mobilizing on behalf of bills in several state legislatures that would further curtail women's access to the procedure.
On both sides of the debate, activists are highlighting their hopes and concerns in conjunction with Thursday's 42nd anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 that established a nationwide right to abortion. Since then, there have been more than 50 million abortions in the U.S.
Coinciding with the annual March for Life in Washington, the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives had planned a debate Thursday on a bill that would ban most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy on the disputed premise that a fetus can feel pain at that stage. However, the House leadership decided late Wednesday to scrap those plans after objections from GOP women and other lawmakers left them short of votes.
