It's a new year and they're all off and running. A new Congress is seated and a new fight has begun.......with Netanyahu invited to dinner, so to speak.

I find the nerve of that little man and his pack of cronies to be unbelievable. I don't even care much for Bibi and generally? I think he's as much a war monger, personally and as a man, as the Hamas leadership is. The only difference is side and the power of initiative.
Having said that? Iran is no joke...and I believe its safe to say the indignation Obama threatened Congress with, regarding this move, was absurd. He warned them that any efforts might sink the negotiation process!
Does he have no ability to comprehend this by now? We DO NOT trust him. Congress DOES NOT trust him. Our own allies do not trust him. The only people who DO seem to trust him at all, in what should scream warnings to us, are our traditional enemies. Enemies for which NOTHING has changed, in any way, to explain why we should give up all ideas of standing on our principles in the face of mutually exclusive ones on the opposite side.
This will be a wild year, I'm thinking.
Netanyahu is a staunch opponent of Iran, and Boehner's move to bring him before a joint meeting of Congress likely increases the chances of a congressional collision with the White House. Boehner said he did not consult with the White House about inviting Netanyahu.
"Congress can make this decision on its own. I don't believe I am poking anyone in the eye," the speaker said. "There is a serious threat that exists in the world. And the president last night kind of papered over it."
The White House said the invitation was a breach of typical diplomatic protocol. Spokesman Josh Earnest, traveling with the president to Idaho, told reporters the administration would "reserve judgment until we have an opportunity to speak to the Israelis about their plans for the trip and about what he plans to say."
