Okay. Here's a place to post tips, tricks and reviews of games. Feel free to geek your hearts out.
Things I am looking forward to is Dragon Age: Inquisition. I didn't play the first one, but this one looks amazing. I can't wait. Here's the promo video.
I would love to play the new assassin's creed, but I am not dropping $400+ dollars on a new system. If I knew how to upgrade my crappy desktop I'd do that. But I am not very tech savvy. :/
So what games are your favorites? What are you looking forward to playing?

About the only game that I play these days are a stupid Facebook "hidden pictures" game and World of Warcraft, though I haven't been playing that all that much lately, and I'm not super enthused for tonight's new release. Hopefully it grows on me :)

There was a point that I loved Rainbow 6 and played online daily, with all the new games coming out, and having to not talk much on my mic, you know, due to being a female, I slowly walked away from online gaming (X-Box 360), I mean it got so bad that playing UNO online was me sitting in a room with players that had porn playing on their cams.
Now I stick to the safe stuff, pogo, big fish, iwin games, and things on my kindle. I LOVE time management games, I have played and own all Diner Dash games, and anything thats a match 3.
With my eyes acting up lately I am trying to get into "hidden object" games but find it hard sometimes. If online gaming eased up on women I am sure we would play a lot more, and I am sure that most gamers have heard of the incident with the "women" critic that has received death threats.
Sooooo... you know, Ill stick to diner dash :)

If you still have your xbox look into Skyrim. It's a great single player role playing. HOURS of great game play and a well written story line. It's a lot of fun.

OMG, I cannot play Skyrim. I had a friend and her husband stay with me for a few months when it came out, and I saw this guy NOT move for WEEKS!!
I dont really get into RPGs, when I saw him like that it reminded me of how many RPG's like World of Warcraft and even Second Life was ruining marriages, and people couldnt function (and believe me, I know this isnt everyone, but weird that I know about 10 people like that), so it scares the crap out of me.

I have seen relationships suffer too. It's all about balance. You play the game. Don't let the game play you. It's not real after all. Some people forget that.

I got my husband hooked many years ago when Nintendo first came out with Mario [back in high school, that was when Atari was hot --missile command/space invaders--and of course the arcade games]
My husband being older than I, had no clue at that time about video games But he does now!!
Anyway, I was Mario & he was Luigi Then we advanced over time to Playstation--Need for Speed/Bounty Hunter etc.--we took turns playing
Next came Xbox 36o--which to this day is our fav console--and PS3 No online, just single player
But now since my husband likes the military ones, I have drifted to my PC to play He just got through with the latest COD, waiting for Farcry 4 to come out next week
A silly game I got hooked on for a while was Plants vs. Zombies Oh man, what we do to pass the time. LOL

I play The Sims occasionally.
Sims 1-3. I have every Sims 2 game (though I don't need to dig out the discs because EA gave all of them away for free on Origin), every Sims 1 except for Sims Online.
TS3: Pets, Supernatural, Into the Future.
Sim City I have Simcity 3000 Unlimited, Simcity 4 + SC Rush Hour. My latest region so far has 2.8 million people in it. It's a perfect simulation, you can even create disasters like earthquakes and meteor strikes.
I grew up on Sega Genesis! The games I had were X Men, Home Alone 2, one of the Sonic games, Mortal Kombat, Aladdin and a bunch of others I'm probably forgetting. I tried Left 4 Dead on the Xbox and got caught up against a wall while a swarm was advancing.
And I tried Lego Batman on Xbox, it was fun. Along with Fable.

If this is the place to geek out about games.....allow me to do so.
Some of my my favorite games are the the GTA series, the Fallout series and the incredible Bioshock series. Both Fallout and Bioshock has amazing story lines. GTA does as well, but it doesn't quite satisfy me as does the other two choices. In my opinion, the Bishock series are on the list of the best games ever created.....right next to Mario 64. At one point I was also ranked in the top 500 players for Call of Duty: Zombies. I liked regular CoD gameplay, but zombies takes much more strategy and that's my bag. :)
Nowadays I like to play DOTA 2. It's a free-to-play game on the PC. I could desribe the game, but if you're interested....go check it out.
It requires strategy, teamwork, knowledge of the heros (characters) and the items available to purchase.
Some of the heros are easy to play, but I excel with the heros that require practice and study. My favorite and best played hero is Earth Spirit. It is among the hardest of heros to play, but I have his mechanics down to the point that it's not unusual for me to wipe the entire opposing team with a well-played series of 'grips', 'rolls' and "magnetizes'.
Well, I better stop before I get some 'geek' all over the place. Here is a video that explains what Dota 2 is...if you're interested.

I LOVE Sims. I really want to get Sims 4. Need to upgrade my computer. I am having to learn how to do that and what all the parts mean. It's good to learn something new :)
I have played GTA almost since the beginning. However I didn't enjoy GTA 5 as much as I did San Andreas. The it had better flow and the story line was better. There was just something awesome about doing a drive by while How I Could Just Kill A Man by Cypress Hill was playing on radio Los Santos. Good times. The new one was good, but not great. It lacked something. Maybe I just have high expectations.
I have never heard of Dota. I really enjoy strategy games. I'll have to look into it. Thank you for the recommendation.

There used to be a WW2 flying game called War Birds.. Hytec was the creator... He came out to my hanger and did some acrobatics with me many years ago. He had a few hours flying but did not have a license... That guy never got sick no matter what we did !!
I think I quit playing War Birds around the age of 50... Eyes we not up to the task...
What I liked about the game was it was real time and you were doing aerial combat against real people. I had a super good joystick with throttle and pedals for the rudder and everything.
There were the Reds, Golds, Greens and Purple squadrons.. JJ my wingman and I were a terror of the skies.. My favorite aircraft for most things was a J or L model P-38 with it's nose mounted 50s and 20mm..
The Golds were the most numerous so we joined the Purps who had the fewest members (purple sq)... We made it a practice to flame every Gold we could find...
One mission; we had taken off and just got our gear up when we were jumped by 7 Golds !!
Real world we would have been dead but as it was we downed them all !!! Both of us managed to limp back to base single engine.. Team work !! Very satisfying ... Sorry maybe to blood thirsty for some... But for us it was about as good as it got !
