Okay.. I want to hear from those playing Far Cry 4. What is it like? Is it worth buying? Should we get it now or wait for price drops?
I have not played any of the Far Cry games, but my oldest son loves them. I always wait for prices to drop before I buy a game, but if you enjoy the series it may be worth buying now.
I've been a dedicated fan of the Franchise. FC 1 wasn't so hot, but it did bring some really new features to the graphics display and water effects, so it was good in that way. (Linear and rather dull...otherwise). FC 2 and FC 3 (which I am still playing on the South Island now) are totally different. They are not QUITE the same "open world" play as S.T.A.L.K.E.R or Just Cause 2, but very close to it. FC 3 more so than 2. If they have continued on with it, it'll be fun.
FC 3 also introduced the concept of having to hunt for survival. You have to get everything from Bengal Tigers to pigs and dingos for upgrading medicines, a variety of worn containers and arrows. It isn't easy either... The predatory animals DO hunt you right back and they kill rather quick. However, a good sniper rifle with a silencer does wonders later in the game. FC3 also has full immersion environments too. Which means, the animals do entirely vanish into the underbrush and foliage, even from a few feet away at times. They are still THERE..and if you have them tagged to see or guess a blind shot right, you'll prove it by killing them without seeing them...but likewise, I've had a tiger's head literally appear a foot from my own, while prone in deep jungle vegetation ...just before it ate me. Almost as if saying "Hi....dinner!". Very rude...I do declare!

LOL remember way back in the day when we used to read them things called magazines for tips tricks and secrets, lolol and updates to games for the game genie. Nostalgia! Do they even have secret cheat codes anymore or are they just called "easter eggs" nowadays
The mean, nasty-ass honey badger in a bar near you!
