I'm with you on that - the Tardis kinda creeps me out, because of the interior being composed of hammerspace. What happens if you can't get back from that dimension? You know, if it runs out of gas or dilithium or egg noodles or whatever it is it runs on? I mean, I can take a ball peen hammer, a magnet, and a pair of needle nose pliers and make life a living(?) hell for Daleks and Metal Men, but I can't be messing with no other-dimensional hammerspace!

Welcome to the clubhouse Timelord! I would mention that the Tardis parking is out back, but you seem to park it pretty much wherever you want, so it would just be ignored anyhow!

I have to second all this as it describes exactly what I think may have already happened to me anyway. LOL We need a thread about misplaced people due to a malfunctioning tardis…..

Not to worry. There are in place multiple fail safes to prevent someone being stuck. Also in the unlikely even that all fail safe protocols dont get enacted the safest place to be would be inside the tardis not outside it. The space outside the ship is warped inwards to shrink its actual size so if hammerspace were to collapse it would do so outwards not inwards. Imagine a foam ball the size of a planet compressed to the size of a car expanding outwards.
