I've long been my friends' tender of muscle knots as I can pinpoint the pain with my hands hovering above their skin.
Hi , nice to see you join the thread! Welcome!
What you describe is what I call a "body scan", we practice a very similar technique in Reiki. How it works is simple, I would hover my hands slowly above the receiver's body an when I notice a change in sensation in my hands(numbness, tinkling, hot, cold, etc) it normally means an imbalance in that area/chakra and I then know to emphasize on that spot when I get there(I mean I stay at that spot longer than I would otherwise).
Then again that change in sensation is also a queue to move on to the next hand position: ex: every one may be different but for me, when I "activate" the energy/get grounded, my hand always get pretty warm, and the "sensation" I normally get is a tingling in my palms....when the tingling stops and the warmth returns, that means the spot I was on has now been balanced and To move on to the next position. And so on and so on!
That is an awesome story about the wasp in the store btw, most people will simply kill them due to fright of getting stung, I dont because I try my hardest to respect all living things. I dont ven break branches off of trees and teach my kids the same values because I find its very important to protect natu!!
You sure seem to have a great gift within you and it is a wonderful thing to have!

I've tried to figure out how I can pinpoint. I call it one of my party tricks (I have a few) because it does baffle people. I would say that it is feeling a sort of disruption but since I only deal with muscle knots, I'll actually work it out. My best friend claims that I'm way better than the woman she pays for massage in that regard, lol. I do find it very interesting that what I was doing independently actually has a name and is taught. To me, it kind of tilts it to something going on but what that thing is could be chakra or something else. The difference is just in the names, labels and whatnot at the end of the day.

Love and light to all!
I'm a firm and devout believer that we all have the ability to interact with animals and insects in these ways. I certainly was stung when I was little but it wasn't until I was presented with a situation that distressed me--a drowning bee--and where the only option was to use my bare hand to retrieve it from the water that it really opened my eyes to this relationship. My desire to help the bee overrode any fear I had of being stung. I just accepted the possibility and lost the fear. Many creatures in the our world communicate through other means rather than speech and one of those is absolutely pheromones. People have seen me do these things and it's pretty embarrassing. The manager of the store I was in watched me with the wasp the whole time and when I came back in, was gushing in wonder and was totally amazed. She did the same with spiders but a wasp? Those are crazy aggressive things that will bite and sting you to their heart's content so even though she picked up spiders without getting bitten, she couldn't fathom it. Sometimes, if we're told, "you're going to get bit", well, believing that guarantees getting bit. We can do so much more than we think we can, all of us.
All it takes really is understanding that you're communicating without even saying a word and controlling what you're "saying". Of course, put me in a pit filled with lions and well, I'd probably get bit as some fears would be even harder to override, lol. However, it does explain those rare individuals who do have incredible relationships with some of the most feared critters on this planet.
I love this planet and all that live on it very much. Even those little psychopath spiders who just love dropping in front of me. Jerks.
If you’re trying to lose weight, you probably know that dieting doesn’t work as often as it should, and even when it does, it doesn’t stick for as long as it should. Or, rather, we don’t manage to stick to it.
Here’s some tips that may help you in your pursuit.
1. Always Reiki your food. Intend that healing energy is discharged in your body as the food is digested and burned, and that it helps you become healthier, happier, and that it makes your body stronger.
2. Love your body. Tell yourself “I love my body” and notice how that makes you feel. If you feel any resistance, relax, take a “step back”, and just let it be. Allow yourself not to love your body, just for a short while. Then start the flow of Reiki and bring in feelings of peace. Repeat until you sense you’re done for now, and resume later if you feel it helps.
3. Drink plenty of Reiki water. Aim that it gets into your body and cleans it. Say may this water remove the toxins that do not serve me or my body anymore.
4. Write on a piece of paper an affirmation that resonates well with you and has a positive message. Such as I am losing weight in the healthiest possible manner, at the most appropriate pace, for the highest good of myself and those around me. Keep this paper with you, and send energy to it daily, even multiple times a day. Make free use of Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen.
5. Use a yellow crystal, such as citrine, tiger’s eye, golden topaz etc, charge it with energy, and place it on your solar plexus chakra. And then keep sending energy to this chakra. The solar plexus chakra deals with your will power, and this exercise will balance it, giving you extra determination and drive if you need it.
