IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hernando's Hideaway Staff is happy to announce the launch of a newly installed system on the forum: The monetary System!
That's right, you will all gain money (that is fake) as you participate on the boards!
You will notice that under member avatars, in their mini profiles, a number value is now appearing! This is the amount of "money" you have in your respective wallets. If you click on the Bank button in the menu bar (Red circles on the picture below), or on the little pink piggy in the top left of the webpage, you will access the bank where you are able to deposit money from your wallet to the Bank and vice versa (Letter A). and at the bottom of the Bank screen (Letter B)see a list of all your transactions.
When the money is in the Bank, it will gain 4% interest daily (per 24 hours).
How do I get money you might ask?
It is simple, All you have to do is just as before, participate in the boards! Nothing More, nothing less!
Here is how your activity can award you money:
Create a New Thread....obtain 10$
Add a Poll to the New Thread...obtain an additional 5$
Reply or Quick reply to a Thread...obtain 5$
Bonuses:
100 Posts = 500$
200 Posts = 1000$
300 Posts = 1500$
400 Posts = 2000$
500 Posts = 2500$
1000 Posts = 5000$
1500 Posts = 7500$
2000 Posts = 10 000$
2500 Posts = 12 500$
3000 Posts = 15 000$
3500 Posts = 17 500$
4000 Posts = 20 000$
5000 Posts = 50 000$
Sadly, we cannot go back on posts entered before the Monetary system was installed so everyone must start from scratch as of last night (0.00$)!
* Note that no money will be allocated when posting in the chat or in personal messages!*
Members can also donate Money to other members, you can do so by clicking on the donations button (to the right of the Pink Piggy, in top left corner).
How to use this money, well that is still in the works. But I wanted to launch the system so that each of you can start gaining money now and accumulate it in the meantime, While I finish up on details here and there about the Monetary Shop and the Stock Market.
These other two options will be implemented shortly!
Some things may change a little in the near future and additional bonuses might be added after staff members discuss and agree on them!
It is important to note that Money penalties can and will be implemented as well for T&C violations and abuse of the monetary system (i.e. Posting a bunch of very short posts just to get more money!) The amount the of penalty will be determined by staff on a case by case basis.
Also, Staff will have the ability to freeze "wages" for a specific member or group if it is determined to be necessary, meaning that the affected user will not gain any money for a determined amount of time.
