I am Glencairn here and elsewhere. So happy to find you guys and see some names that I have been missing reading.
I am interested in renaissance faires, jewelry making, reading and sometimes writing. I love plays and am in particular a musical theater geek. I am a stay-at-home-mom and one of my very favorite quotes came from a friend of mine and I modified it a little to personalize it: "You always hear about animals that eat their young at birth. As the mother of a 14 year old girl, I now know where I went wrong." Really, I love my daughter more than anything else on earth, though. I have a hubby to whom I have been married for 17 years and a Shih-Tzu/Chihuahua mix dog who is my "second child". I also have a handful of "Acquired Teens" - friends of my daughter who have decided that I am second mom and who all keep me pretty busy.
I am so happy to be here and see everyone again! I am also happy to answer any questions that anyone has and love to have conversations about my odd interests.
I wish I could get the wife to join in or sign up, you two could talk musicals until bliss consumes the world. She has been a professional musician and knows the words, song titles, and sings along with every show tune there is. I think she even knows the words to every musical ever made. All the way to B&W beginning. Nice to see you and enjoy HH where great people hang out.

Welcome to the site, I'm the smartass with the bunny avatar over at TOS.
I would say somewhat odd in that I am the epitome of what so many people hate. I am on Facebook - and spend a large portion of my online time on there - and I love it. I am a high maintenance pretty pretty princess, and I watch far too much television and enjoy it. Despite that, I don't consider myself a sheep and am still able to focus on important things, too.
My taste in music is ridiculously eclectic. I love musicals and listen to soundtracks and original cast recordings the most. My absolute favorite go-to guilty pleasure music is 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction. I hate rap and have a hard time considering it music, but like a little bit of many other genres. I am such a girly-girl, too. I love clothes and am a makeup addict who can't live without my lipglosses. Getting a new corset to add to my garb closet is better than Christmas for me.
Marlin, I would LOVE to talk to your wife. I don't have much of anyone in my offline life who shares my love of musicals and am always so excited to find someone who does love them like I do.
Nugget, I don't know about moonshine, but I love Absinthe that is made without the anise. My favorite is called "Mata Hari" and mixed with orange juice and cranberry juice it is called a "traffic light" and is delicious! Unfortunately, I have pretty much no tolerance for alcohol and can only drink a tiny bit at a time. It isn't that I get drunk, I just get ridiculously sick before I ever even get a bit of a buzz, so I don't drink very often.
Thank you so much for all the very warm welcomes! I have no doubt that I will love it here. I have seen so many of you who are posters whose posts I always looked forward to reading elsewhere and I have been wandering around the forum and am really enjoying it here. Such a relaxed atmosphere and the level of real respect for each other is wonderful.
Now the next step in this parade is just figuring out how to put up an avatar. I have one in mind that I want to use, and will work it out sooner or later.
