Hello HH,
I'm Sabiduria, or Sabi for short, & a member of Cognitive Journey's.
I decided to make an account over here to see what you guys have going on because knowledge is power. You guys have posts that we don't have on CoJo & I'm big into learning on how we can make the world a better place. I don't mind sharing knowledge with you guys that I have learned. The more we all know about how we can make the world a better place, the more of us are demanding that change happens. That is how I believe we will be able to bring change to this world. We need to unite together for the common goal. Remember the old adage, "What is stronger? A stick or a bundle?" it applies here too. One person alone can't make change happen there is just far too much too do but if we all work together, we can make change happen.
I want to share something with you, I don't know exactly how to so I apologize if I get this wrong.
In regards to Cognitive Journey's, I want to help clarify somethings. This a quote from Druid, CoJo creator:
((Sorry I don't know how to quote so I will use quotation marks))
-"It's gonna be hard to overstep you bounds here, as CJ is designed to be a site with very minimal restrictions. Life is a journey, and without freedom, how can anyone express themselves? We don't even have a limited vocabulary here, and we are not running commercial software, completely open source and free. The theory behind this new software is that the community CAN police itself, and if you and one other member flag a "inappropriate" post, it gets auto removed. You and one other member can remove every post made, but there's a clever algorithm that reduces your "Trust Level" if you abuse it too much. That makes it troll proof and spam proof, without the need for mods watching and reading EVERY post.
The mods and admins here are the same, save mods can't make changes to the layout. There's a backend that reports all the flags and "behind the scenes" activity. Modship is granted by the software once you hit a certain "Trust Level", believe it or not, due to your good posting habits and consistency. You can gain or lose Modship based on your posting habits alone, as well as being granted or removed by the staff." -
I hope that helps clarify things about CoJo. Swear words aren't the end of the world, in the right context they add power to a statement/sentence. You can say "I'm mad!" & that's understood but when you say "I'm f***ing mad!" the curse word adds power so that it's understood that you are beyond just regular mad. I'm not sure if I explained that right, I can have a bit of a hard time getting my thoughts out into the right words. I have a small vocabulary because I have a different learning style that what is taught in schools. My Mom had to reteach me everything I learned in school so I can understand things otherwise I would have failed. As a child born in the late 80's, failing just meant you went onto the next grade in elementary school, you didn't have to repeat anything until high school.
I'm not sure how active I will be on here at the moment because of my health problems I am currently trying to juggle with life. I'm also not fully active on CoJo either. I used to post more & was a co-host on the "Out of the Box" radio show. ((I also was in the final season of "Out of the Box" on TOS))
Right now I'm big into petitions & use the petition sites SumOfUs.Org & Change.Org . I find them to be both effective petition sites that have victories with some of their petitions.
I will wrap this up for now as I have been slowly working on this post for the last couple of hours while doing house work.
Namaste,
Sabi
