The Blood-Supermoon Eclipse & the Closing the Great Window

I photographed last April's (2014's) blood moon eclipse (page 21 of TOS' astrophotography thread) It's going to be cloudy here in MI tonight, so I'm not going to see it (it's been cloudy all day, actually)

Truth be told, however, I'm not feeling very disappointed. While I got some nice shots last year, lunar eclipses are my least favorite astronomical event. They really are quite boring to photograph/watch. The normal moon phases are also, but eclipses aren't much different. Basically the same sequence sped up, and in this case, with a color tint.

I await the day we see a supernova in my lifetime, now THAT'S a truly rare event to behold with the naked eye They say Betelgeuse or Eta Carinae may go in our lifetime...

Nyiah, yea I would only go while its at its maximum I'm not going to stare at a stinking moon for 8hrs I do have to work tomorrow!!!

It appears that there might be many parties around the world for this event.  I suppose tomorrow morning there will be lots of hungover people at work.
