True story... I saw them, front row, on the tour to support this album.
Unfortunately for Fee Waybill and company, that show was in North Dakota. His admonition that we should rise from our seats and tear up the place, because it was North Dakota... kinda fell on deaf ears, because it was North Dakota.
That was the last rock concert in that venue in I don't know how many years, lol.
I, of course, was cheering this, when it came up:

You may have seen an interview with Fee', where Todd Rundgren (as producer?) got credit for the band's one-way ticket out of the limelight.
They were definitely a talented lot...even past 2K.
I have always had very weird tastes in music. I was a huge fan of prog-rock (Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer) but also a huge fan of punk (I was into the Sex Pistols, the Clash and Elvis Costello before anyone I knew had ever heard of them) so when New Wave hit, it was kind of the perfect storm for me.
Loved Todd Rundgren for his solo stuff and with Utopia, so I guess it all makes sense in some fashion :)
