Hi fellow contributors of all things that shall not be discussed. I will contribute to discussions on a myriad of topics that I am sure we all enjoy getting to the bottom of.

I am Australian, father of 2 beautiful children (one of each) and married to a fiery Irish lass that commands my obedience with her stare.

I work in the offshore Oil and Gas sector for a large US based company in the Australasian region as Operations Superintendent. I am an ex-merchant Navy Captain who now pushes a pen instead of a propeller.

I have opinions on everything and take pride in maintaining a very high moral code of ethics when conversing in real life and online.

I look forward to what this forum holds by way of the truth that I seek on many many topics.

I'm going to have to thank Jude as well. It's a joy to have you here. I have to admit that I'm a little bit jealous however. I'm beginning to think that Australia might end up as the last outpost of Western Civilization and individual freedom. I haven't been keeping up with Australian politics so I might have an overly romantic view of the place. I'm not completely infatuated with the place however much I admire it in my mind. I've heard that, on occasion, it gets a little warm. It's also my understanding that now and again one may find slightly obnoxious creatures crawling or slithering along the ground.

On the other hand, you've got the Brumbies and that makes up for a lot. Oh, and I've also heard that drinking the occasional beer is socially acceptable in Australia, I like that too.

Mix in a fine lass from Ireland and it must be close to heavenly.

"Truth?" Maybe you will find it. I know that I've found quite a lot of it here. Some of that truth comes from the information provided in the discussions, which are always of a high order. I'm surprised at the large number of gifted people here, not academic or stuffy, but willing to dig out answers and express themselves with dignity (if they feel like it), creativity, and respect (always). The truth I've found comes from the people themselves. You'll see.

We have a fine selection of Tobacco's for Cigars and Pipe's, the cigars are rolled on site and there is a Pool and sauna and spa down stairs,,,, you'll normal find Expat888 Oppps, I mean Daitengu there, teasing the girls and drinking all the Jim Beam!

Thanks Charles, Kdog and gouhua for the warm welcome. I shall take the time to familiarize myself with the site - it appears to be quite extensive and I am already immersed in Charles thread. Lots of familiar names here which has certainly added to the feeling that I too will be here for the foreseeable future.

Right now I am just getting started in site protocols and how-to's.

I shall have a beer for each of you..........so, you do the math........if I start typeing like tihs al off a sduuden then you will know I mean it when I say - a beer for each of you.
