Strange Noises From the Sky

Hey solarius, something you said about the sounds you heard sounding more metallic or a slightly different pitch; well a colleague of mine who lives in the Scandinavian region said that the sounds they heard up there were slightly higher pitched than those coming out of warmer climates. This colleague attributes the difference to an increased air density as well as ice (earth's crust in ice) in their region verses the warmer regions.

Therefore, I have a question for you.. was it cold or wintertime when you heard the sky noise? It may be the reason for the difference.

Others who have listened to this say if you are concentrating on tune, that there is a low constant tune also in my video - its just more easily lost due to the bird noises and other ambient noise on the video. But they are saying there is also a constant.. I may listen to the video a bit louder again, but I like the other member here have a harder time with it because it does hurt my ears to a degree, I actually had a slight headache after hearing the sounds this morning.

General update.. I went outside for a smoke and the sounds are back... this time they are louder in my other ear - making it seem like they are coming from the exact opposite direction from this morning..

and this time its hurting my head more.. Ninurta is going outside, away from the house.. to try and pinpoint direction better..

this is too weird. But they are much more intermittent than they were this morning.. this time it took about 5 minutes to hear three sounds..

Now it's coming from a bit west of where it was earlier. Because of that location change, it's echoing off of the eastern hills rather than the western ones, making it sound from the observation deck like it is coming from behind the house - but when you get away from the house, it's easier to detect the location. Still no idea what it IS, however - I only know that it's changing location.

The sound in question is not detonations - it rises and falls over about a 4-6 second cycle, and sounds like a distant trumpet with a low tone, or a single cycle of a "bull roarer". There may be some detonations in there coming from inside the Earth, because there are mines around, but this noise is coming from low in the sky to the northwest at the moment.

Did you at least hear the hummingbird?
