Trump attacks McCain's record as war hero

I was undecided as to whether or not Trump was serious about running for POTUS; now I'm possitive he isn't, and I'll bet there's a lot of $$$ in it for him to devide the party so ? can conquer.

To add a couple thoughts to the post from my phone above....

I personally detest John McCain. The man is a scumbag politician and a warmonger who seems to seek out and truly enjoy playing behind the scenes for bloodshed. Where John-Boy goes....war follows close behind.

Still.. Trump wasn't calling Senator McCain a scumbag or saying he wasn't a war hero. He was saying that about Lt. Commander John McCain. Two very different people...IMO. Same body...but radically different people.

BTW.. not everyone is a war history buff, so this is probably not the best remembered detail with everything else going on..but THIS is what earned McCain the title of War Hero, in my view.

I had respect for Trump..until right now. I may have even voted for him, based on what I'd heard in years past and what he was saying....until today.

It isn't that he was a scumbag himself, to call out McCain that way for being captured. It's that he was obviously IGNORANT of his topic, COMPLETELY, and wasn't sure or outright did NOT KNOW that being a POW and surviving it to release IS NOT why many Americans and a good % of vets view McCain's war record...if not quite the man himself these days..with a high level of respect.

I got sick of McCain about half way through his run for Presidency. He wasn't running anyway. It probably scared him for a moment, that he even got as close as he DID. He played a sandbag on Obama's opposition, and by circumstance? John McCain is the man most directly responsible for inflicting Obama on this nation. Him and his "My Friend" B.S. all but wished Obama well BEFORE he won. (sigh)

What really burned me forever on John-Boy was the investigative work I did in putting together the story of United States Government funding of Ukrainian Rebels before the coup de tat in Kiev. They ought to name that war in his honor for how central he was to it's opening and well equipped showing to run the sitting President clear into the Russian sector.....and in open violation of a pact between nations, before Russia broke it themselves.

All about changing the old ways... (So why can't HE retire like a decent man, and leave it to others who still have full mental faculties to function with??)

betrayedone, All those are good points you've made. But remember, we tried and tried to get those at A_T_S to listen to our Truthful Concerns about Obama and His Lies.

I was willing to support Trump before he made it obvious he's as bad about ignorant, uninformed damage casually thrown at people as any of the rest, for one basic reason.

Trump knows success. He knows what it means 'to build that', and through his own efforts across his own two hands, he's known the heights of success and some hard bottoms of failure, as well.

I want a President who knows success as something besides a concept to shoot for in a self-help hype book. I want a President who is ruthless enough to cut your throat, but also, able to be compassionate enough to sail a CVBG across the globe (as USED to be STANDARD) for large scale disaster assistance.

We've had a long STRING of people who have never known success outside a ballot box they probably helped stuff themselves. Several now..in a row.

Lets be different, and just to say we tried, give a successful man a try...It might even work out..and damn..can it go in any worse a direction than it is now anyway?

...of course..Trump had to babble one step beyond his brain's ability to catch up..didn't he? So...Dump the Trump I say...and, who else?

I still think we could have a great Black president in this nation, in the true sense of that Great word. There even happens to be one running this time... What do ya know! Handy, that...
