On a serious note, you do have the... pronghorn deer? I'm guessing that's their name. I saw a group of 'em when we were on one our trips out there some time ago.
See...? I was correct. I'll wager you were running down some poor moose or something for yer' supper!
Look at the picture again - just how much "running" do you really think I'm capable of? maybe you meant "hobbling after" instead?
I suspect there's a wooden cabin close by with copper-tubing, and other paraphernalia for making that 'special brew'
Wooden cabins are for sissies that can't handle the weather! All that stuff is, um, "stored" under a rock ledge. We never actually put it together - honest! (hat tip to the revenooers).
This isn't envy, Sir... well, not quite -but never the less, at some point, I would suggest you come back into town and begin to do a thing we call 'urbanise'
Did you just hear the GRRR sound? I think it came from something behind me!
Edit: Ooooh, it's the horns on the beast's head! Again, I wager that you eat those as well!
Not exactly, but it might appear thataway - a fellas gotta have toothpicks, y'know? And then there's ONE of us that chews or gnaws on 'em for the "calcium" (I'm lookin' at YOU, atf1886 !).

Antelope those are pronghorn antelope. There aren't any around here - they're all out farther west. I dunno what happened to them here - might have all gotten et. I know for sure that's what happened to all the buffaloes we used to have here.

Again seriously, didn't you see a Bigfoot once? I know you mentioned the 'big-red-eyes' before, but I'm sure you once told me about... well, I THINK you told me you saw one.
My memory isn't what it used to be!
Edit: Yep, the pronghorn we saw were in Dakota

Yep, I did. late October or early November, 1979, in West Virginia. It was a big-'un, too. I was armed with a 12 gauge shotgun at the time, and refused to shoot it because that might just piss it off, and one thing I didn't want was to piss something that big off. I was crouched at the base of a pine tree, about 30 or 40 yards from it, and the thing turned it's head around to look at me like it knew I was there, and that's when the shakes started. It was covered head to toe in fairly long hair, about 4 inches or so long, all except for the face and the soles of the feet and palms of the hands. The hair on top it's head was longer, like a woman's hair. Maybe it was just a really big old hippy.
I had cut a hickory pole about a week earlier to make a couple bows with, and had it leaned up against the eaves of the house to season out, and the critter just walked up out of the wood line like it owned the place, and had pulled that hickory pole away from the house and was examining it like it hadn't ever seen a hickory pole before. I dunno what it was thinking about it.
After it stared at me for what seemed to be somewhere between a decade and a century, but was really maybe only 30 or 40 seconds, it turned around and walked back into the woods just as calm as you please, like it had not a care in the world. One thing I recall that has always struck me as extra weird (over and above the fact that I was looking at a bigfoot) was that it made not a sound as it walked, nor even when it went back into the woods and walked away. How something that big could move through brush that thick and never make a sound is something I've never been able to explain to myself. maybe it really did, and I just couldn't hear it above the noise of my teeth chattering. I dunno. Whatever the reason, I never heard it make a sound.
The eaves of the house were 12 feet off the ground, and it looked like the top of the thing's head was even with them, but that was probably just a trick of perspective from my crouched (and shaking.... SHIVERING might be a better word) position. Really, it was probably "only" about 8 feet tall, maybe 9 at the outside.
The "red eyes" is a whole 'nuther story, but from about the same place and the same time frame.

BTW - did I remember to say "hi" before I plopped down, propped up my feet, lit my cigar, and started yammering on about big scary hairy things that are bigger, scarier, and possibly even hairier than me?
Hi, ellez! I'm late to the party, I see! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun here, but don't try sneaking into Duffy's; Guohua cards EVERYBODY!
My "card" was a Master Card, and Guohua didn't bat an eye when she passed me through... a couple of the bar girls did, though - I thought they were having an episode they way they were flappin' them lashes at me.
