I'd once told my father I was interested in law enforcement, and to more or less follow him. He was honestly horrified and figured I'd never make it out in one piece. Reacting with common sense and no thought to P.C. for what that was starting to mean when we had that chat is what I think he meant. He never explained it at the time, but I think that was the fear. Probably a valid one too...
I'm happy to pay cops and not worry about having to be one.
They can test me for psychic abilities after the fact - at least I'll still be alive to be tested. The guy charging me and reaching for his waistband, maybe not so much.
What it all boils down to is who you have to convince that you had a valid fear for your life. Some of these little whiny-ass race-baiters will never admit to being convinced, because it doesn't fit the narrative they want to promote, and it does not advance the idea of their superiority. Not "equality", they seek superiority. I'm not talking racial superiority here, I'm talking political superiority. Ambition to rule over others with an iron fist has no color. The race issue is just being used by them like a condom to insulate them from the results of their own decrees. To be frank and honest, I don't care even slightly what they think - I would not give two shakes of morning dew for their thoughts. I cannot run my life on their whims.
They can bite be - but they'd better run fast if they do. I guess the installation of my PC and diversity circuits either didn't link up properly or maybe just failed. What does a dead guy care about "political corectness"? Worms eat everybody the same - to my mind, it's better to have them eat the guy trying to kill you first, before they get the chance to eat you.
