I will be honest here: I did not read any of the Ouija horror stories. I came to tell one of my own- my very first of many Ouija horror stories. I trust my fellow Hernandos will keep this in confidence as I don't share this story easily as it was the very beginning of a lifelong journey into paranormal occurrences.
When I was around 6 or 7 years old my mother, who was heavily into witchcraft at the time, purchased a Ouija board. She and my father had been on a "date night" and had left me with my grandparents and produced the newly purchased board upon arrival. I remember watching them sitting in chairs facing each other with knees touching and the board sitting on their laps. I was fascinated but thought they were causing the planchette to move and asked if I could play too- to which they adamantly refused- though they did let my young uncle who was in his early teens in on the "game" for a while before they packed it back into the box and we left for home.
When we got home I was immediately sent to bed and thinking nothing more of the "game" went to sleep. Some time later my mother came and woke me up bringing me to her and dad's bedroom. Dad was sitting on the bed and the "game" was on the bed next to him. For some reason the overhead light wasn't on but there were candles burning on the dresser and both night stands. My mom told me to lie down on the bed on my stomach. One of them placed the board on my back and my mom whispered something that I could not understand. Being tired I almost immediately fell back asleep until sometime later when my dad told me to wake up and then he walked me back to my bedroom and tucked me in.
After this night is when the stuff of nightmares began in my life. What most would see as material for a horror movie became a part of my waking reality for decades. The only time the strange activity has ceased for a time has been when I have moved but always whatever it is eventually finds me. The longest period of peace has been a few years. It has been peaceful since I moved halfway across the country 9 months ago but I have warned Kdog that sooner or later whatever follows me will find its way here. I just hope he doesn't wig out when it arrives.
