Yes sports fans, you heard it right. Charlie Manson, famous for leading a rather hostile and cultish "family" to deeds of murder and attempts to start a race war, is looking to get hitched. I guess that makes a win in his column for games against the State.
No, you're not going crazy. They didn't let this sugar coated fruit loop out of Corcoran State Prison early or anything. He's still where he's been since he was convicted of 7 +1 on murder and..originally..meant to be executed for it.
As I heard my father put it countless times growing up tho...Manson was saved by Rosie Bird and the Supremes playing 'Don't kill those killers' at just the right time for his commutation to life in prison. (She was Chief Justice to the Cali Super Court from 1977 to 1987.) He even comes up for parole occasionally because, well, the law says he's entitled to hear it denied on a regular schedule now.
I've always wondered what kind of people go for the Super "Bad Boys" they'll likely never even get in the same room with, unattended, for life? In one book written by a Nevada College student who did his thesis (I believe it was..) on serial killers and had pen-pal contact with Manson, he was described as having the mental level of a child with nonsensical writings I'd be embarrassed to even repeat what I remember of now. (The same book described the students near fatal encounter with another serial killer he visited in prison before that one met his just rewards with the executioner, so it stands out).
In this case, I suppose love IS in the eye of the beholder. This one beholds one of the single most notorious killers in history...that never personally killed anyone (they could prove, anyway..).

I did say a regular schedule. I just hand't mentioned what his schedule to be denied was. She can hope to see her new hubby alone, I guess, after another shot when he's 93.
Go Viagra!

American mass murderer Charles Manson, 80, has reportedly been granted a licence to marry a 26-year-old woman who has been visiting him in prison.
The marriage licence was issued 10 days ago for Manson and Afton Elaine Burton, the Associated Press reports.
Ms Burton moved to Corcoran, California, nine years ago in order to be nearer Manson's prison, it adds.

In 2012, Manson was refused parole by a Californian prison panel - it was the 12th time he had made a bid for freedom.
He is not eligible to apply for parole again until 2027.
