Some members have expressed an interest in having larger avatar images, therefore larger mini-profiles. There appears to be no way to do that for just a couple of members, it must be done for all as far as I can tell. (Yes we may be able to specify that it only applies to certain themes, but I don't care for that idea.)
So, to get the members' opinions on the subject, the above poll:

Honestly, I would like to see them larger, but it cannot be very much wider without a problem with them being too far into the posts themselves and creating issues of that nature.
But they can be a little wider, with some added height, and I'm not good with math so I don't know what percentage might be best to use!
But I do see a possibility to go with a triple height on them, and slightly wider. So really, a specialized size would be needed for the user interface not to be negatively affected.
Maybe about 40%-50% larger but it all depends on what is feasible with the 'space' needed for the program, kinda in between staying the same and going 'big'
I guess we could 'experiment' [yikes] and see what works and what doesn't, of course not sure what all that entails but we could get a birds eye view of what may look better or worse for the avi's
And of course, have to take into consideration how many may complain about any kind of change

This is true, some people don't like change at all.. so we should keep that in mind!
As far as experimenting, you would simply have to see what any size variation would look like in each skin, and also from mobile devices, since some people do seem to use those mobile devices!
My current thought is that if enough members want the increase we'll put it into play. Then, if it doesn't foul up the system, we can wait for complaints (if any) and adjust accordingly.

Any other ideas? I'm always open.
The only other thing I can say is to 'play' with it....maybe do say 20-30% increase at first
1) to see how the site reacts to the space needed/used 2) to see the members reactions
If we instantly go big, that may cause problems within the site itself Plus the members can gradually get used to any increase without instant overload

I'm really glad we don't go after one line, or one word, posts. There was absolutely no need for more. Simple perfection.
Even if we did, it would not apply to mods or 'favorites'- just the people TPTB didn't personally care for. That is, if we wanted to model HH after TOS. (rofl)
