I'm here, just sitting back and waiting to see what happens. I've had my hopes crushed so many times recently regarding this show, I don't want to get excited until I see some real action taking place.
I'll wait a little longer, then I'm off to discover other venues.

What do you guys want to do?
Post this particular thread to FB with a comment of asking for help? Or do you have another link for people to inquire to?
What kind of experience do these people need to have? What would qualify as a decent sub-host?
Give me a guideline on what you want said and then let me know if you want this thread posted or another link

What are the technical details of how it's done, in broad terms?
I might have an idea, but can't promise anything yet - the individual I have in mind for a potential approach in the matter does her internetting via a "tablet", I think, and I don't know if that's an obstacle or not.
I used to DJ at a commercial radio station, years ago. Back then we used "cart machines" and actual vinyl records that had to be cued up, and had to read news live on the air that we got off of a teletype machine. I went back to the same station a couple of years ago for a visit, and now it's all changed - all gone to CD's and MP3's, and all run off of a computer - even the commercials. News is from a network feed via satellite. I'd be as lost at that station now as I would be over something like "Skype".

I know you can't promise anything, but we can keep our fingers crossed! (fingers crossed)
I have been kicking a 'Siskel and Ebert' type format around in my mind, where one side presents the facts around for a 'paranormal' event, and the other presents explanations of how it could be attributed to 'normal' causes.... The paranormal is a fascinating subject for most people, but a lot of 'believers' are looking for more rational explanations than the 'Woo' fringe offer.
It might pull in a few more people than the 'new-age' type thinkers. We're all looking for answers, but they don't seem to be in the tiny box we're looking in. Time to step out of that little box?
If that's something that you want to do, even for just a part of the show, count me in as the resident skeptic, I'd be happy to fulfill that role.

Hernando's Hideaway Plank Owner America's best radio station: wfmu.org | My Reality Remix topics blog: Here
Irish Cream is busy learning her new job. I'll let her know that she has questions being asked so she can come answer them. She knows more about the tech end of it. I just bring topics and people to interview to the show.
Hopefully, she will respond now that the weekend is here.
I just joined here, and am getting used to the format. I read the announcement about the radio show that needs help, and found this thread....
I could help. I would love to.
I've affiliated with another station, offthecuffradio.net, and "Out of the Box" is going back on air on January 26th @ 7pm with an interview with Robert David Steele.
We'll play 3 times per week. As would any other new shows.

Ok, it is finally Saturday and I'm caught up with my house work (*cough, snicker, grin*)!! So, now I can tend to the important stuff. UsIR2gFKB0CLlT_iyfUa
Lets start with @snarky412, my darling Senona, I will message you after I write this so we can iron out some issues together... so look for that.
@ninurta, you can message me more details if you are so inclined and/or if anything has transpired since you posted. I think I saw a movie once about a radio station like that lol. And skype isn't nearly as difficult as you have yourself convinced it is, even Nugget can do it. :P
druid42, I am in (or was before I got this new job) the same circles as you, but wasn't sure how to approach you since I wasn't the main person involved in the other venture and didn't want to step on toes... I'm respectful as a mo'fo like that! As it stands, TTV would be broadcast on Sunday night @ 8pm EST via the Reality Remix Studio's live stream. However, once I finish training for my new job, that time slot is not something I personally will be able to show up for seeing as I'll be one of the new hire grunts and they'll have me working all the "yuck" schedules. Feel free to message me if you need more details or want to discuss anything else.
adjensen, we would LOVE to have you as the resident skeptic! It might not be a bad idea at all to wrap up the show with the last half hour dedicated to the debate of one or two of the more controversial topics tackled in that episode.
I am more than willing, as stated before, to work on all the behind the scenes stuff that makes these types of shows great and even "guest host" when my schedule allows (they can't make me work EVERY Sunday night... right... right?! fc/insomnia)! With that being said, I just want to thank you all again for being so supportive and sharing our desire to see this show come to fruition! ly522295ef

Nothing has transpired - I was waiting to see what kind of tech would be required before making the approach.
I have Skype - I had to get it for a job that never paid, but I've still got it. I've just never been able to make the voice part of it work.
I'm presuming that it goes through Skype them, so now I have to find out if tablets are a problem for Skype.
