So, what has every body been doing to occupy themselves lately? I get burned out on television and the internet (let's be honest- it's just too darn crazy in the world these days).
I have been tending my patio garden and doing a bit of doodling with colored pencils lately to occupy myself and get my mind off of current events. I figured since nobody else is posting around Hernando's anymore I will just use this board as sort of a "personal playground/journal" so that this corner of the internet isn't going to waste.
Here are a couple of my latest doodles. I'm not an artist but I can doodle with the best of them!
I call this one "The Mask". It's a doodle of a Renaissance age lady dressed for a costume ball:
Here is another doodle that I call "Mother Earth". I am currently using her as an avatar on another forum and sometime hopefully this year I plan to have her tattooed on either my back or maybe my thigh:
Anybody else been doodling, sketching, painting or inking? Show me a few of your own creations!

Those are awesome! I'm really drawn to the top one; probably because of my love of birds. I have been passing the time making quilts, watching all 6 seasons of Downton Abby and rescuing 3 orphaned bunnies. I forget how to post a phot, but they sure were cute! Looks like I figured it out!
How cute!!!! I rescued a baby bunny when I was a small child. My mother and I took turns bottle feeding with a tiny bottle made for playing with baby dolls. I named her Gladys and she lived to be old, fat and cranky!
I would absolutely LOVE to see some of your quilts!

I have been working on the first one for the past couple of months. I have one more block to make and then I can sew all of the rows together. The second one was completed after Christmas.I usually work on several quilts at once, but can't post any of the other ones I've made since January. I keep getting a 'file too big' message.
Those are BEAUTIFUL!!!! I haven't quilted in years, though I did teach my girls to piece and quilt when they were growing up. The only one in the family who still does is my mother these days. You should be very proud of yourself for keeping the craft alive! *bows to the artist known as Nugget*

Thank you for such high praise! lol I sewed clothing from the time I was 13 and didn't start quilting until late 1990's. Since retiring I've kind of turned it into a passion. Beats cooking and cleaning! haha
